Hello guys, a small query. Can we replace our RR unit with that of Piaggio Ape's without rewinding the coil? Is it a direct fit and will it bump the charging rates?
Has anyone here tried this? Was wondering if it could provide more juice for battery charging...Yamaha R15 V1 2011

First pic seems to be because of gunk or impurities in the fuel cock filter...clean it and you are good to go.second does seem like a oil leak..tasket busted ? Seniors ...please do shed some light on this.Originally posted by yamahafazer View Post
I see oil leakages in the above two places, what could be the reasons? Hopefully not something serious .
Cheers

The first image is because of the 5% Ethanol mixed fuel we are using nowa days. The tank may even be rusted from within.. read the 5% ethanol thread and you will realise what is happening.
Looks something like this shown here - Talking About The Damage That Ethanol In Gasoline Does To Small Engines - YouTube
Regarding the second leak.. may be thats something which has fallen from the first leak. Clean both and check again.

What is the purpose of that spring? my clutch is working fine.
And a big thanks to XBHP family for providing tips and tricks, very helpful in maintaining the bike.
That's the clutch return spring, one of the weakest parts in FZ. I got it changed once under warranty and another time paid from pocket. It won't cause much issue, sometimes clutching becomes hard.#RetiredRider

There the head mechanic said that the front light cannot be adjusted.
He asked me to change my riding habit and not run with my fingers on the brake lever while riding. I find this rather weird.
Anybody got there front brake light switch adjusted?? Anyone feels that its extremely sensitive and activates the brake light with the slightest pull of the lever?
Cheers!!

Your battery seems to have died off... Its happens with the stock battery (MINDA for me). Had the same experience when mine was 2 months old..
Get it charged or changed under warranty.

Cooling of the engine is a different story.
Pouring water on it dosent make any difference, coz most bikes are Air cooled which use air to cool down, As known fact, The inner parts are heated, which are cooled by air cooling system.
Sometimes, water may mess up the paint on heated surface.
Better dont do it
