Hey Binoy, I had bought the iridium plug last week and have tested it on weekend. In fact few others on xBHP have also bought it and they also had some positive outcomes.

The plug does give a kick to the engine in performance while it didn't affect my mileage though.

so no mileage increase? but mine G-Power give lil more mileage though...

Yep defenitly there is a difference. And i personally find the fazer engine much smoother than the fz16's. Anyone feels the same?

I'm sorry not the clutch plate. The round thing around which we instal the clutch plates. Ask your local mechanic, he will explain. It pressurises the flow of the engine oil. Something like that. Not sure. But good difference in power.

There seems to be a problem or i dont know exactly but the bike does not go any faster than 100km/h. Before when it was new i was able to do 120+ easily but now its very very hard. Its like 5th gear is become 10th gear

missing remaining gears. My initial is good but top end as lost out. I have checked all "tunning, sparkplug, airfilter, speed petrol

nothing seems to working.

Oh, you should check it out with the SVC guys. It cost me around 800rs plus oil change. It gives thta added grunt you always wanted for your fz.

Trust me sometimes they are bunch of losers. They really dont seem to care about it. A Person name Robert was there in Panache, OMR. He used to help me out but now he has left the job few months back. The thing about "The round thing around which we install the clutch plates". If we ask them they will never do it. Is it visible or we need to remove something to alter it.

Iridium is good in some ways. They reduce engine stall, little pickup, little top end but dont know about mileage i think it is the same. But will post soon. Filled up Full tank gas last week for testing mileage.

Got my beast from 3rd service. Done it at a motorcycle club called Mototec, Trichur. was surprised to find lots and lots of fz and fazers crowding the entrance and also other bikes of Suzuki and TVS. Had to weight 1 hr to finally get the bike after washing and polishing but the bike sure looked like new.
The shop owner conveyd his apologies every 10 minutes citing absense of staff, machine complaint... but now the bike feels great even better than the first and second service.
Had asked to adjust the tuning toward mileage and now the pick up has slightly reduced....

Just one advice to all fz and fazer owners , look out for private individual workshops and motor clubs that offer service. They do great service

Hmmm i dont know about the smoothness, but the fazer exhaust note is much better than that of fz..
Does anybody know how to get the masculine note (like rtr160/180) from fz without absolutely any side effects?

Rear sprocket - number of teeth?

Simple request to fellow FZ owners:

Could you please count the number of teeth on your bike's rear sprocket? The number may even be stamped on the sprocket (xT for x number of teeth).

I am asking because some people have reported having 38T rear sprockets whereas I have a 40T sprocket. If there are some bikes with 38T sprockets as fitted from the factory, this may explain the large variations in mileage and performance. I am assuming that the front sprocket is 14T in all cases. Counting them would require the sprocket cover to be removed (2 bolts) and I know it's not possible for the majority of people.

Mine is a 40T one...i doubt some are 38T....that too factory fitted

I m saying so coz out of curiosity i checked mine tonight itself and on top of that i stopped a FZ owner(obviously i dont know who he is

) and
checked his too....it was 40T and the guy was like

'has he lost his marbles or what?

dont know why i behaved like that

Dude I am away from my bike so can't check but when i checked (faintly remember) it was 38T and a few days back i was surprised to see 14/40 combination for FZ. so i give +1 for the post but this is the first thing i wish to enquire
