      • Don't shoot the messenger ppl , in our case vinchel , he jus sayin what he heard , i personally don't think the claims are true anyway , coz otherwise every fz16 woulda had it ... ,

Is the switch to R15 rear sprockets worth it ? for better performance , albeit lower efficiency ?
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com

FZ16 headlight assembly with projector and angel eye for sale .

            • after upgrade to OSRAM NB

              Hi,

I have recently replaced my stock headlamp bulb with OSRAM NB 60W. However, whenever i switch on the headlamp and try to use the horn, the horn sound is not so audible as it was earlier (when the bike is running). Do i have to install something more to handle the extra power being used by the bulb?

              Thanks for your suggestions.

              • hmm..thts strange, even im using the OSRAM NB 55/60 with an aftermarket horn but i dont have this prob,my horns volume reduces by 10% ONLY when i horn AND beam together!

how old is your bike?maybe your batt. is weak..get it checked.

                  Thanks for replying.

My bike is 1.25 years old now. I think so, the battery might be weak. On occasions even before i had the NB, the horn used to sound less. I will get it checked.

Also, do you know of any good maintenance free battery that can replace the stock one?

                  Many Thanks.

                  • Rear Disc and iridium spark plugs.

                    Hello all,

I have a fazer and I am pretty happy with my choice , but there are some glitches I would like to address.

                    1. Can one fit a rear Disc break on the bike ? the current drum break does not look like it is up to the job, and the break balance is pretty much on the forwards side when the speed is 60+.

What will be the costs involved ? and can I get it done in del ?

                    2. I have heard a lot about iridium spark plugs and the performance increase offered. Do they really work ? what % of performance increase / FE increase are we looking at ? OR is it just a myth ?

To my experience, I will point out that every bike is manufactured and purchased for a reason.... I dont think if theres need to modify the Fazer... If performance is what u need then u should have gone for R 15.... coz once u begin modifying the bike, u will never be satisfied and will end up spoiling the bike....

we have heard from ppl that they do increase FE or performance depending on which spark plug u go for....FE is reported to be 2-4kmpl more than average....

The battery may be fine. The horn may be a bit worn. Tighten the tuning screw behind it to adjust the sound. Tighten it by just a bit first and check. Do it with the engine running at around 2k RPM or more with the headlamp running if required.
