The grades are the viscosity indicator measure operating at 0 and 100 degrees. Inside the engine, the temps are going to be on the higher side obv, so the grade that comes after the W is what matters. More viscosity than what is recommended would lead to more friction between cylinder wall - resulting in lesser power coz of the more sluggish piston action. It is always recommended to keep the 100 degree viscosity grade the same as what is assigned to the machine.
Also, the correct time to change the engine oil would also depend on how the machine is being used. smooth stress-free operation most of the time will get you more kms on the same refill.



. I mean for any problems you mention, they will start the bike, rev. the engine and say "Saar, everything is perfect".
