Buy a 1 litre bottle of mineral oil 20W40, take your bike to a reputed workshop & change your Fazer's oil coz as far as I know Yamaha SVC won't allow you to put engine oil other then Yamalube. One should only use semi-synthetic after completing 3000 Kms.Originally posted by hemantbetala View Post2005 HH Karizma [SOLD]

....the horn and lights are working perfectly well...that's why i am confused whether the battery is the culprit...still will get it checked.....can there be any other problem??

same here bro. this also ensures that the lights dont go kaput( my leds did some months ago.Originally posted by dude_phenom View PostAs a practise. I always turn off the HL when I switch off the bike. And I never start the bike with the HL turned ON. Good way of protecting your battery.
)
I also had a similar problem when my bike was kept unused for a week.Originally posted by neermsc View Post.....my bike is about a year and a half old.......it has been standing unused for 9 days....(my preparatory leave is going on

the starting problem generally occurs for a cold start(in the morning or night when temperatures are low.)
the wiring or the battery can also be faulty.....Rider for Life.

Just before giving it to service, get it written in service card "no oil change", at the time of taking delivery give them any suitable 1 liter engine oil, they will change it and give the bike. SVC dont have any issues if you want to put different engine oil, Atleast at my svc Panchee in bangalore.Originally posted by Greymatter View PostBuy a 1 litre bottle of mineral oil 20W40, take your bike to a reputed workshop & change your Fazer's oil coz as far as I know Yamaha SVC won't allow you to put engine oil other then Yamalube. the horn and lights will work fine even if the battery charge has dropped but since the starter require more power and voltage it fails to crank the engine.... your problem is nothing but discharge of the battery try running it for a couple of kms and once it gets charged you will be fine...Originally posted by neermsc View Post.....my bike is about a year and a half old.......it has been standing unused for 9 days....(my preparatory leave is going on

I've never used Amaron personally, but I've read good reviews about it. Their maintenance free battery is supposed to be good. Bosch and Exide are good alternatives too. But I honestly dont understand why Yamaha didnt put Bosch batteries in the first place. They got their brakes after all.Originally posted by kinshuk.arya View Postthere is a batter from amaron which is maintenance free... also chk that one out...Everyone falls down, doesn't matter...
