    You can try fixing it.But might end up leaking air.depends on your luck.give it a try.
    Insurance well...some have got it and some haven't...so again give it a shot

      okay , the thing is my tyre already has about 6 punctures out of which a few are leaking and cannot be fixed , I do fill air every 3-4 days ... Ok will give it a shot ..

        Hi Seems to be quite a hit... i guess your bike hit a pothole when your bike's rear tire must have been on lower tire pressure then the standard 33 psi... i suggest once you get the rim problem fixed try tire slime to get rid of the micro punctures or the punctures that you have not been able to take care of.. a bit expensive proposition (500-800) but so far i have heard good reports about taking care of lot of punctures and lasts throughout the life of the tire. Consult with the tire guys as in how much amount one should fill otherwise too much would unbalance the bike because of slushing of fluid inside the tire.

          My friend has a bend rim similar to yours few months ago. My local mechanic took his rim to some tyre repair shop and fixed it. he told me some process (don't remember the name now) which is used to fix bend rims and works most of the times. He also mentioned that if the bend is bad then this process won't fix the bend and need to get a new rim.

          From your pics I see that the bend is small and can be fixed. My mechanic took 200 Rs for fixing my friends bend rim. Try some local tyre shops in your city. Someone might help you to get this fixed.

            Go to JC road & search for bike accessory or tire puncture shop.they will make it as good as new.I also got such type of rim bend but in my front tyre.That person( I dont knw the exact shop,sorry)took the tyre & by some mechanical pressure along the full circumference of the tyre mended it.Any way that was a bit costly affair,cost me 450 bucks..But the tyre is fantastic now as earlier.

              Sorry to hear about the bend man..you could go to JC Road and try,replacement would be very costly..

                    Guys went to pacer to check on the rim ... he checked it and said that it would cost about 600 to fix , but there is a chance that while fixing it , the rim might crack ... , replacement would be 2.4K ... m not very worried about the cost , because I don't want to have this on the back of my mind that the rim might crack while riding ...

                    @Rohan : looks good man ... , had this done for sis's activa too ... how long is it supposed to last ?

                      I suppose getting your rim fixed would be a better option(get it done at a tyre shop...it would be cheaper)

                      A friend of mine had got a similar bend fixed and is still running fine...

                      I dont think the rims are so worse that they would crack while riding.....

                          Hey ppl i have ta share this wid u all

                          2day i filled the rear tire with Slime and the Air pressure guy filled her with 54psi (i was talkin on the phone n he had a stone age pressure gauge)
                          After that it felt like the Pick up had marginally gone up.....and she was very eager to get off the line.
                          Later wen i saw the tire it seemed too bulging out n i checked the pressure (yes i have a pressure gauge) n saw it touch 54
                          Got it down to 33 but after that she didn't feel the same in pick up.
