The max you can expect when doing 80-110 kmph is 45kmpl! You keep the speeds at 80 and below and the FE shoots up by 5-10 kmpl depending on your acceleration and braking habits. Whoever was advising you of 60 kmpl didnt knew thier bike or you werent specific when asking

Havent faced any neck issues, ever! I would suggest check a doc rather than blame the bike.

i seconded Shamik's opinion... been doing 80-110kph most of the rides for the past 10,000kms in my odo but the highest i only get so far was 566kms in every 12L full tank fill. In most cases, i hardly get more over than that but rather playing only between low of 510 and high of 566kms in every full tank fill.

no ways mate! technically, you should have your left crankcase change with that of the later Unicorn model in order to fit in the electric starter motor. Also, you would have to change your main crankshaft as well in order to fit the drive gears from the electric starter motor to turn that in your main crankshaft. To sum it up, it's not economic wise to source out new parts and idle the old serviceable one.

The best option will be, sold your old uni model and buy a later model with electric starter ready or rather just change your whole engine.

What is the cost of Apache and pulsar dual horns ? Is their any need of relay ? What may be the approximate total cost of fitting either of the two horns in unicorn

Back in 2010, the cost of Pulsars horns were 450-600 rs. But the mechanic told that it would drain the battery.

I am running on stock horns which are not so good when compared to other 150s around.

in my unicorn... i fitted only 1 piece taken from an accident 4 wheel car, there are 2 horns in that, the high and low tone. Although i mistakenly detached the low tone it serves me well. Electrical connection is just same complete replacement of the stock and now i got whole lot of attention everytime i honk. but it must have been better if i got to fit the high tone one.

Ok. I want to fit any dual horn like FAZER , APACHE , PULSAR. I think apache dual horn is much louder

Hi can we put FZ16's headlights on 04 model? What changes need to be made and can anyone source me the first lot side Gray panels where Unicorn is written with the tail piece so its 3 piece in all or where can i get in Pune.

Honda Unicorn - New Bike - Cold Start and Pickup Problem

Hi,

I just bought a new Honda Unicorn 150CC and I am facing couple of issues with it.

-1- Vehicle is not getting started every day morning even with the choke and need minimum 10 kicks to get it started.
-2- There is a serious of pickup problem, even if i leave the vehicle for some couple of hrs time, the pickup goes completely down and the bike is not all moving..- Even if it moves after some vehicle seems to "choke" like it's going to quit running...

Any experts can advise, whats the real problem? - Service station is not responding properly with the issue.

seems like there's some issue with the carburettor, may be cleaning it and adjusting the tuning might fix it..but on a new bike its not expected..how much kms done?

've seen fz16 headlights on unicorn but doesnt look good IMO.. here also we face spare parts scarity problem..

My bike also have the same probelm. Its a brand new bike with only 35 kms so far. I've taken it back to the dealer and they suggested that it was due to the petrol. However, my other bike works perfectly on the same petrol. I'll try again with the new petrol from another pump.

It looks like there is some serious fault in the new batches of Unicorns. Is there any new owner who face the similar issue??

yea its true, ma friend, who is also a mechanic told me so. Uni's not old than 5k are having engine problems. Worst thing is the service centers r not fixing it saying parts r unavailable

. One Uni was in the service center for a month and then returned to the customer after only a wash job! Honda India is way behind their 'enjoy the quality' tag which they are known for internationally.

As its a new bike I think the problem is with spark plug. get it checked with a local mechanic/svc.
