Let me tell you the details:

    Model - 2005
    Spoke wheel
Front Tyre - MRF - Stock
    Rear Tyre - 100/90 X18"
    Make: MRF

Currently I ride with tyre pressure for front wheel 25 and back 35. Is this correct? I've been following the age old right from RX. I'm due for a long trip sometime shortly. I have misplaced the Owner's manual somewhere, service centers have variety of suggestions. So, I need some help here.
I keep front 28 and rear 38. works best.
Honda Says for single rider it should be 35 and with pillion 40.

When you say refer Chain cover, have you personally checked what's given?

You keep 35 front and 40 back? Funny!

For city riding I would suggest to keep the tire pressure around 25 and back around 35. If you are for a long ride (trip), then you will need to reduce it by a point or two for both wheels. Reason? - During the long ride, due to the friction the tire pressure increases, also, you are not supposed to top up before the tire cools down.

Chain tension should be set right. To avoid drop in performance, maintain the company recommended standard.

                      • ok.. thanks for it.. one last query.. will changing my chain now increase mileage and increase pickup and performance??

its costing me almost 1000 bucks.. so im just being careful before spending on anything stupid.. i know chain isnt stupid.. but changing it.. he also says that the chain is tightened to its max.. (by 'seeing' some nut tightened to its max just above the rear break parallel to the axle and the chain cover on the right side..)

                        pls. advice..

I don't know you to make you understand about machines. The whole mechanism consists of several parts integrated to make the machine move. If you understand what chain does, then you would not have asked the question on mileage. Nevermind, the chain is the one which transmissions the vehicle to move from stand still.

They do not have have any major significance on the mileage or performance, however, I do not discount them completely.

You can feel the smoothness if the chain is set at required tension gauge. Performance and mileage are interlinked.

Take it to H.A.S.S to check on the chain to see if it needs to be changed. I would rather go change if it had done some decent miles on the odo. Also, check the chain sprocket for any wear and tear.

Yes, Unicorn is bulky and no doubt about it. Modifying the handle bar of a bike would change the ergonomics. Each bike is designed with right seating position and it would include the seat, stretch to the handle bar and your foot rest. If you change from the stock set up, believe me might ending screwing your riding position resulting in some physical damage. Think!
