Few questions
I'm getting a new CB Unicorn in next few days. I know its old and common but I just love it. I found it more comfortable than any other bike in 150cc segment.
This is my first bike so I'm not aware of many things yet. I wanted to ask few things before I get my bike:
1) Is there anything that I can do while doing paper work and getting its delivery? I mean any precautions? Anything worth asking/looking for?
2) I've gone through many threads on xBhp. I came across a lot of different oils and types. I'm confused which one should I go for? Which one is better for Unicorn?
3) Also I'm confused about running-in period of engine? What are the speeds I should maintain?Comment

I called in to 2-3 showrooms of Honda here in Mumbai, one showroom have stopped booking of Unicorn as the waiting period have gone beyond 10 months! Second showroom says 5-6 months of waiting period, thats crazy!Comment

paperwork: if u r doing the payment upfront then i don't think thr shud b any problems, as for the registation card i am sure u'll see the details properly.
2) I wudn't recommend u any other oil other than the prescribed Honda Oil for atleast 4 services that wud be roughly 10K kms
3) This is what i did, first 500 kms(first service) did not exceed 60kmph and 4K rpm, i got FE of 51 till my first service and roughy 58 after that and i normally ride in the range of 50-70kmph. be gentle to it it will take some time to adjust to the new bike.

After reading the whole thread i like to share my opinion.
I have used all bikes around hero honda to bajaj around 9 bikes ,Now i have purchased a second hand bike Honda unicorn 2009 model (Black) color.One thing i can say is honda unicorn is the best in it's class as no noise in engine,Handling very good.Average is also good .It easly touches 100 speed within no time.Very comfortable in very rough roads.I think all together very good bike made by honda.Comment
