The second link seemed better to understand something. 150R is marketed as a sport bike which must corner well. Then why does it have a narrower patch? majority after riding it say it handles better than 250R. why is that?

Ideally, rubber width should be enough so that it lays all the power that engine produces on the road. 250R being more powerful needs a wider tire.
Though street nakeds have thicker tires too that produce lesser power but that's more of a show thing. We're attracted to faired bikes and fat tires you see!

I agree. FZ and gixxer have wider tyres than r15 and CBR150R. I thought it just enabled better handling. Thats why street bikes are easy to change directions?

                Respected Forum Member & Owners,

I drooped my CBR yesterday after 4 years for the first time - The bike moving snail speed (3-5kmph) due to heavy traffic congestion - Reason a Pay loader busted it's Coolant reservoir in the middle of the busy road and wave of lube flowing all over the road - at first I thought it was water pipe leakage but the moment I spot two bike rider collecting their backpacks / belongings from the road - I realized what it is - but it was late - by then my both tyre complete one rotation of that slippery lube - applied brake but no use.

Surprisingly My Silver Faring (Which is not available any more due to production stop) not even got a single scratch, All the beating took by Silencer & Handle Bar.

                Damage :- (As I Found)

                1. Front Break Leaver Bend and the Brake Feel over responsive - Tighter - meaning the leaver travel very less space to apply brake.

                2. Right Front Indicator got Dislocated lens - But already fixed.

                3. Handle Bar slightly out of place may be - but not sure.

Now my question, Is it only the Brake leaver need to change or the entire front breaking system affected due to fall. There is a noticeable gap where the leaver connected to the cable.

As This is my first official accident at CBR250 - Please advice what other thing I need to check.

Sad to hear the baby ceeber fall buddy.
No need to change the complete brake system, may be only the lever or max the reservoir assy with lever.
I had a same kind of damage while transportation of my bike but had to replace only the lever.
                  All the best.

Just the front brake lever that costs very nominal; if you cannot find at your ASC, let me know; I can ship it across my spare one to you

stick it with gum. else put stunner 125 indicator. same thing but 110 bucks. same thing under cbr parts is 250 . if its bent take it out. make the plate straight and put it back

                      3. Handle Bar slightly out of place may be - but not sure.

the clip on might have moved or got bent. replacement clip-on is 560 bucks .though its slotted but still get it checked. for a slow fall coneset wont get affected.

just the lever is 120 bucks. replace only that. nothing else needed. if not broken remove it and hammer it and straighten it and put it back.

Is anyone here from Mumbai? If yes, where can I get a decent tankpad? I got one for 150 bucks at Lamington road but it is of poor quality and barely sticks. Im prepared to spend upto 1000 bucks
