As you can hopefully see from the pic above, the service manual does not state the volume but the level for the fork oil change. The idea is that it is almost impossible to drain the fork completely and adding 175ml again will overfill it.

The service manual does not state the volume???? .... refer to the box on the top right side of the page you have shown... I think it says "Recommended oil Fork oil 10W or equivalent, Quantity Total - 240 -/+ 3cm cube"... If my english is right that is volume that is mentioned over there (covert cm3 to ml and you will get 240ml)...

          Sorry, my bad. I misspoke.

What i meant is that during service, it is the oil level rather than the oil volume that needs to be set.
The oil volume is mentioned as an initial reference. The final quantity is determined by the level.

Here's what I normally do. While it is a little bit tedious and adds about a hour's work, I drain the oil into a measuring container to check the condition of the oil and the quantity of the oil. This is the first indicator that one has about the state of affairs within the said fork (also compare the quality and quantity with the other fork). Then, I dismantle the fork completely. By that I mean really dismantle the fork down to each and every last item. Each item (except for rubber seals) is then washed with diesel and then pressure washed with water. After which the parts are dried with compressed air to ensure they are completely cleaned. After which I inspect each part for any abnormal wear and tear (last time I had a collapsed spring). The forks are then assembled and 240ml of oil is added which invariably leads to 126.0 mm oil level specified in the service manual.

Now if you are just going to open the fork top cap bolt and removing the oil and not take apart the fork then naturally there will be oil remaining in the front fork. And this is certainly not the procedure laid down in the service manual. The service manual is very clear that the fork has to dismantled to service and replace the oil.

Therefore, there are 2 measurements that need to be kept in mind. The first is 240 ml and the second is 126 mm level. If either of these 2 measurement is off, then that means that something is wrong. Do not go by just the oil level. If you have used 170 ml oil to achieve the 126 mm level, then you have got at least 70 ml of oil which is old and maybe even contaminated. Thus whole exercise has been futile one as you have not resolved the problem.

There has never been a single time i have been able to get the last 30ml or so of oil out of my rd forks without total disassembly- even after leaving them upside down overnight.

The tool in the pic above helps a ton during assembly. once the air is purged, overfill the fork and draw out the excess. I made me a home made version of the tool. The probe is adjustable for different bikes.

Thats the whole point. The fork HAS TO BE dismantled. The RX 100 and KB 100 (somehow I cant recall if my RD had it or not) had forks with a drain screw at the bottom. Making oil replacement as straight forward thing. However, now the manufactures are recommending complete dismantling of the forks for change of oil and service.

I completely agree. I wonder how many service centers, if any do that. Hence the importance of level.

                          cheers

Guys please help me out from this...

                            I'm done 50km till now.

I've plan to ride 500km trip tomorrow.

So could anyone tell me the exact gear shift which i have to do?

Also at what speed i've to maintain?

Just read the manual. Everything is written in it. Take necessary breaks and keep varying speeds at intervals.
