You can start your bike even before the self check, but we are requested to wait as it's better to let the ECU check everything before the Ride.

Nice Pics Bro. Few questions for you.
    1. Is 7800 per pair is the exchange price for the Pirreli Sports or actual price?
    2. You have already shared good things about the handling after tire change. How the mileage got affected?
    3. Are they Tubeless or Tube type?
    4. Any notable issues during the trip? Any tips for Duke owners starting for a Trip/long ride?

Tires made by different manufacturers tend to have different "profiles" without any change in size, so you can certainly switch around. Some are more flat, some more "pointed". If you're referring to tire height i.e. the second number in the tire size code, then you can change that to some degree. In most cases you won't have a choice there; tires tend to come in a limited range of sizes, so if for example you drop from a 150/60 to a 140/70, that's pretty much going to be all you can get. There aren't going to be 140/60, 140/50 etc.

I overtook two enfields, then thought came to mind maybe they r too going to jammu and ill have company. I slowed down and saw tthat those r foreigners. Just hands shook from bothsides. Suddenly the couples bike started to dance, i drove behind them in their lane and diverted the traffic so that they can move aside. We all stopped only to learn that they r from Norway and less on english. Couldnt leave them in that state so helped them with tyre. They left for Chandigarh and me for Jammu. Other break was for lunch and coffee.
I never felt pain or discomfort even for few seconds. Average speed was some 70+ km shown on speedo. I rode with constant speed of 112-115 km and touched 125 a lot of times. The avearge i got till Jalandher was 45+ km/l . 380 km of journey in between Delhi and Jalandher was done in 290 min with 8 litres of petrol. U can calculate the average speed and average mileage. I had to ride Duke in heavy rain for some 68 km. I rode with constant speed of 70-80 km in rain but i never felt that bike tyres will give away. Passed through water nearly 4 inches deep-had no time to brake but bike just went through it like knife in Hot butter. Yes speed decreased a little due to resistance of water but everything went fine.
For me Duke has become best bike for Journey. Now i cant even imagine travelling without it.
        Wow!!!!
        Nice feedback there bro.

Yes bro, Motul coolant is Rs. 330/-. The guy who has quoted the price is from TN, so i dont know if the price there is higher due to taxes.

Had another DIY + Customer meet yesterday:
Agenda was the same as the last meet, mainly it was for the newer customers. Also got clarifications on the use of Motul oil which should be available with ASC in a week.
Got information that duke 350 will be launched by december end or january 2013.

At the launch of DUKE 200, Bajaj did say that they will be launching the 350 in 2013 so my best guess would be around Feb-March.

The 690 is on the way in next 3-4 months with a price tag in the vicinity of Rs 4 lakh. (As told by Probiking employees)

                  -Thanks bro

What Luggage pannier and sabblebags are you using????

-im using Cramster stallion saddle bags (45Ltrs). About the luggage box at back-i got rack for it custom made after doing some alteration. I just need to remove the orginal grab rails from bike and put the rack. And then i can put the box on the rack in 1-2 min and its ready to go. I use Givi slim box of 23 litres. Stickeering job was done later on on the box. To put rack it merely takes 7-10 min. I use tank bag from cramster but tie it on pillions seat with my backpack. It gives support to my spine during long rides so no back pains. Tank bag has capicity of 19 litres. Even saddle bags take all the things needed. So my tank bag is my first aid box full of medicines, and backpack contains imp things and imp documents. Luggage box carries spares for bike.

Great bike indeed..................turns out to be good at everything.
So the Europeans rode Indian Enfields and the Indian rode the European Duke.

And regarding the gear-shifts, are they refined or are hard and clanky ?

There should be a PDI list on the thread here somewhere. It was probably posted Janesh.J, kindly search the thread. I think it was the same as CBR250 one.
With regards to the run-in, the recommended run-in is just maintaining it below 7500 rpm. This roughly translates to around 80-85 in sixth gear. I personally didnt follow this and used the bike as i normally would even taking it up to 120kmph. I've run 2500kms as of now and haven't had any problems. I'd recommend an oil change and filter change before 500kms though.
Thank you for the response sir..
I'd following the prescribed procedure properly.

Below is the checklist posted on the CBR thread. Hope this covers most of the stuff we need to check, some of them are specific to that vehicle.

1 Ensure the chain is lubed well
2 "No visible scratches on the fairings, esp when it comes to the bottom part of the fairings"
3 Mirrors aren't very tight but bolted tight
4 Check for instrumentation panel & surrounding for scratches
5 Check if the instrumentation is working as per the buttons
6 Make sure you have more than 4 liters of fuel
7 Do look for abnormal gaps in the fairings
8 Check the engine undercowl's front beak; some display/test bikes have had it split open
9 Ask for topped up coolant
10 Ensure vehicle can be locked properly
11 Ensure all the engine kill, light switches & brake lights are working. Check atleast 2-3 times
12 Check for rusts anywhere on the metal parts (Frame, forks, brake pedal)
13 Check for first aid kit
14 Check for tool kit & number of pieces 9 pieces
15 Ensure that the alloy wheels are balanced (there should be weights on the alloy wheels) or ask those guys
16 Saree guard is available as standard with the bike while the number plates are not. But the plate holders are available with the bike
                          17 Invoice copy
                          18 Insurance copy
                          19 Pollution under control sticker
20 Ensure that RC book & tax token will be delivered in specific number of days
Thank You soo much for this.
                          would surely check on these..

Its just so damn hard to wait till 8th for the bike..
I wud prefer to drive on the road to hell.. rather than flying to heaven...
