Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I have installed bi-xenon projector and by night time it has been pain in ass for coming vehicles from opposite side even for truckers, quite risky though[emoji19] . So i wanted to adjust projector lamp to the lower side, if it is possible??Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostLast edited by optiprime; 06-23-2015, 02:20 PM.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I have set the high beam ( of my 100/90W H4) specifically to hit eyes of people with wrongly set projectors. 2000+ lumens from my headlight straight on the face makes sure they cant see anything, and think about setting their's right.Originally posted by optiprime View PostI have installed bi-xenon projector and by night time it has been pain in ass for coming vehicles from opposite side even for truckers, quite risky though[emoji19] . Real pain bro. Get it adjusted asap, it is possible to adjust.

Bro, What do you mean lower side?. Do you want to adjust the beam height?. In one of the threads I remember seeing a picture showing about a screw underneath the head unit for adjustments.Originally posted by optiprime View PostI have installed bi-xenon projector and by night time it has been pain in ass for coming vehicles from opposite side even for truckers, quite risky though[emoji19] . If this is what you are looking for. But don't know if this works or has worked for somebody.
In general, all HID projectors are a pain in the eyes for the incoming driver... Do you have the same effect with low beam mode?. Mine, I couldn't distinguish myself between the two, only some noticeable difference in throw range...

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
I have tried it already but adjustment was quite negligible i can say...that adjustable screw is specially made for stock or may be it works for hid but not for projector. And there is no almost difference in high beam and low beam.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostBro, What do you mean lower side?. Do you want to adjust the beam height?. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Most of the HID projectors are bi-xenons (which you can control low\high beam). Every HID has projector attached. I find only minor differences when switching the beam. I find like my beam has more intensity (focus), but doesn't travel far or long. It just moves few feet above but doesn't cover a longer range. How about yours in your low beam mode?.Originally posted by optiprime View PostI have tried it already but adjustment was quite negligible i can say...that adjustable screw is specially made for stock or may be it works for hid but not for projector. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
That screw works well for stock because the screw adjusts reflector position (along with bulb, of course). This does very less difference for Hid, as you pointed out. Have to remove the front assembly and adjust the projector lens (along with Hid, of course)Originally posted by optiprime View PostI have tried it already but adjustment was quite negligible i can say...that adjustable screw is specially made for stock or may be it works for hid but not for projector. As i said my low and high beams are minimal difference in throw ,even low beam tends to blind incoming vechilesOriginally posted by jbm_guy View PostMost of the HID projectors are bi-xenons (which you can control low\high beam). Agree with front assembly removal part , will must try. With projector installed our beast drawing more attention but have to lookout some drawbacks also.Originally posted by krixna View PostThat screw works well for stock because the screw adjusts reflector position (along with bulb, of course). Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Well nothing is perfect, as such is for this HID. My case, it doesn't blind anyone instead it has a reduced throw range. Even on high\low beam it look almost same with just ~20% boost and coverage. But I feel that's enough, as I don't want to light up the entire road.... Use high beam only when required for situations.. I see most of the bikers use high beam and many even know less about it...Originally posted by optiprime View PostAgree with front assembly removal part , will must try. In your case, you need to dismantle and adjust it accordingly. But I'm not sure if it DIY. Why don't you just check with some workshops?. Of course not with SVC... Post your results after this.

Ofcoure i shall take it to known mechanic or else it will be disaster.Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostWell nothing is perfect, as such is for this HID. Sure you do.Originally posted by optiprime View PostOfcoure i shall take it to known mechanic or else it will be disaster.

Strange, I just noticed yday. The throw range did not increase much for high beam, but the manual says 8/18W, which I don't understand how?. At 10W higher than low beam power (8W), the high beam mode should blast the hell out of it, but still almost looks as same power and brightness as Low beam, didn't justify much, other than saying chinese"
. Well, i can see the roads better than stock that's it, but nothing much for L\H beam. Or maybe this is not a bi-xenon?, not sure

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
It appears brighter because the intensity you see is the power divided by area. Low beam covers a smaller area, so appears brighter. Same as counting coconuts on a tree 20m high with your 1W Led torch. Area of light is very small in the case of torch. To see the difference of 8/18W, keep your bike 2m in front of a wall and check the area of lightOriginally posted by jbm_guy View PostSure you do.

Edit: the gap btw projecror lens and bulb can be adjusted in come models, you can get a torch-like high beam if you wish so

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
That's exactly what I thought. However, for the long beam with 10W more power, it is supposed to cover farther distance(even at same brightness or lesser), but it doesn't that's the case.Originally posted by krixna View PostIt appears brighter because the intensity you see is the power divided by area. Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Should be a bi-xenon in which the bulb moves forward and backward for low and high beam (small magnetic push-pull assembly inside the unit)Originally posted by jbm_guy View PostThat's exactly what I thought. Edit: another system moves a small metal shield in front of the bulb for low beam to deflect the light downwards

The projectors with shield to deflect light of low and high beam have much better throw and intensity of light compared to normal hid moving backwards and forwards ..Originally posted by krixna View PostShould be a bi-xenon in which the bulb moves forward and backward for low and high beam (small magnetic push-pull assembly inside the unit)
