[QUOTE=Legend Racer;1025136]200 and 390 are 2 different worlds... BTW are you sure about gearbox in both?

Both are two different worlds you are right and also gear box is also different but the nature of the two (brothers) dukes are more or less same. Lets see what will happen in the coming months. Also thud sound is may be because of the big clutch plates and larger springs.( mechanic who attended the d390 reveal this) it's much bigger than duke200. So the thud sound is there and also it will subside gradually.

Ya even I'm shocked at the number of head turns I'm getting, as the only reason that I taught is bad about the bike is that girls in India are going to hate the bike with all orange (although I simply love my orange beast) thumbs up for girls in India they sure know a great bike when they see one

Almost all the parts are made in and around Pune. So availability should not be much of an issue.

@junaid12345678 , @kkamaleshh , @Legend Racer yesterday evening and especially today morning the shifts were butter smooth. I just don't know what is going on now

The showroom personnel had told me that he'll call me on 2nd or 3rd so that I can go and give him my documents, since the bike is being done in my name and also the remaining balance amount. 2nd is gone. I hope he calles me today. *fingers crossed*

I intend to take the bike in temporary registration number, as of now.

              Hello All,

even after warming the engine for a few kms i do not see engine oil in the inspection port on the RH side. I have to tilt the bike to right side for a few degrees to see the oil. should i be concerned?
During the first service the mechanic put around 1.5 lts of oil into the engine with a new oil filter. There are no leaks from anywhere around the bike only lil bit of dust affinity around the oil input area and oil filter cap area.
we have a scheduled trip to goa from bangalore this month end with total running of 1500 kms. should i top up some oil before heading out for this trip ?
Tourers please provide some inputs for long distance rides on the duke.
              kms completed : 2100 approx

If even after warming, the oil is not between the min and max (bike is supposed to be straight) then go to the SVC and show it to them, they will add some engine oil...

i have the remainder of 0.5 lts of oil with me from 1st service. question is how much should i put without running the risk of damaging oil seals of Head & other force fed parts which are susceptible to high oil lvl ?

You got a black color 390? When I asked the showroom personnel about the black color, he didn't have any clue about it. :|

This is not the one which is on the site, i guess you have customized it, the 390 number should be big and the DUKE alphabets should be small, this makes it look like a 200 bro... if this is not done with your knowledge you have been fooled by the showroom guys. And the graphics are little different with orange lines between the 390 number. please check this KTM 390*Duke*ABS 2014 - Highlights.

I guess you have been fooled, please check, there are no 390's in black. check the tires are they metzlers??

what the heck. the rumors here said black would be out only by mid of this year... even if this is black then there is not much change... only tank and headlamps...

bike is now 1600 kms. rpm set at 7000 and 7500. for the 1st time i took it to 7k. its AWESOME...the sound is so amazing. noon time, empty highway, had a nice blast till 105 km/hr.

chain tension set by me. relief from big thud sounds, though its there. dont have any cleaner or lube at home. thinking of diesel and gear oil, 90 grade... what say?
took some effort to keep both the adjusters in both sides same. problem is, we got to bend and sit on knees, ASS guys got a lift and bike is raised to work comfortably...
