Dear pls help me with this issue
        thats true
the mechanics say that the mileage is so and so bt my f2 gives 38 on an average.
there's nothing you can do about it. but since the mid range n low end punch is better than any other bike out there so i am ready to deal with low mileage.

          pls help
even i have set up my rpm below 1100 that too low as compared to other bikes i don't know the reason as why ur mechanic has done it but i'll tell you why i have

          1
i have an impression that it saves more fuel wen u are idle or stopped at a signal
since the mileage is very low according to a 150cc it makes me feel here is what can save a bit.

          2
another issue is that when you ride the bike for long time it turns hot and if its hot my idle rpm keeps on increasing around 2-3 so if i have set it up at 2 initially it would churn around 3-4 so that's another reason why i have set it low.

since you asked the mechanic about your mileage he must have done it considering my first reason.

Yes of course tacho is faulty. Otherwise how can the engine stay on at 0 RPM!
Anyways, you have 2 options-either replace the meter set (no idea about cost&availability depends from SVC to SVC), or get it repaired locally.
            Many prefer option 2.

I'm happy by its performance. Yes, fitting it at rear on Fiero, might require the removal of chain guard.
Any pics of it bro? herad its a front tyre. Is it safe enough to use it at the rear?

                  • Guys ... what exactly is De-Carbonizing an engine? [ please be patient .... I'm a novice when it comes to engine know-how ]

Also what is involved when an engine is overhauled? please give me a detailed description so that I can explain it to my mech ... I feel it's time my 2001 Suzuki Fiero got the above mentioned treatments.

                    Thanks in advance.

Here is one picture. Total Motorcycle Tire/Tyre Guide - Michelin Sirac

I'm using it on ZMA's rear, no issues. I know of atleast two more people who are using it as a rear tyre, again no issues faced so far.

                          • Mileage has increased but...........

Mileage has increased, I think when the mechanic tested on flat road, he got more than 60 km/l but he admitted there is missing at 40 to 50 km/hr and the pickup is not that quick as it was before.

Gonna test for 1 or two litres more and then I am gonna tune it to the richer side, so that I can save the life of engine

                            What do you suggest guys?

It's better to stick on 45-50 km/l rather than going for 60 km/l

                            • Mileage in city is above 45 but what?

Mileage in city is above 45 km/l but the engine is giving hiccups at 30-50 km/hr speed.

Saravajeet or f2 users any idea about doing anything.

I think carb setting is set to lean and shall I turn the fuel screw anti-clockwise a bit and see the change?

                              I am confuesd?

I can't vroom now so disgusting?

I remember my friend's F2 which he bought at about the same time as me. My bike used to give me (&still gives) around 45kmpl, whereas his used to give 60+kmpl. Mine has had better pickup&engine is stil going strong at 51K kms.
I say, stick to the stock carb setting, coz this bike has a so called 'intelligent' Mikuni BS 26 CV carb with dual ignition mapping modes.

@onlinesatish: I never knew Dunlop GeoCruiser was available in 3.00*18" profile, else I wouldn't have upsized to 100/90/18". But I still feel it was worth it, for the added stability&it doesn't even touch anywhere.
