Someone here posted a pic a while back, if a gixxer with a belly pan...damn it looked sweet! Not sure if it was photiahopped or not.
Check with your dealer and see if there is any such offering.

Hey there Kiran,

As i wasnt able to post my comments to the forum. I am writing this to you. I have planned to purchase new bike and have few queries as below.

1. Price difference on showroom and website price(2K, I am from pune). Is it ok?
2. Can we get any discount or offers from showroom or from Suzuki for this?
3. What are other necessary things we need to purchase along with Bike.?

Also can you please post this to "Suzuki Gixxer 155" ownership thread.

Thanks,
Vijay

rev......Mud splashing is routine. How exactly will you 'take the issue up'? My advice is to attach a mud flap to the bottom part of the front fender if you are really that bothered by it. Don't use a cardboard flap in front of the engine like many people do, as this will interfere with the air flow around the engine and affect cooling.

• I did not like the attitude of the sales girl of wanouri suzuki. Though Mr Dhruv, the owner was very friendly. I ultimately went to matrix suzuki in swargate and got the gixxer from there.

BTW, has anyone done a hill climb of atleast approx 1500 mts height with a pillion sitting on the Gixxer?
Thanks for the info bro. I have driven with pillion in the western ghats around Pune and the bike performance was superb. I rarely did have to go down to 2nd gear. 3rd gear swallowed almost anu incline except the very sharp one on the way to lavasa. So safely can be said that don't worry and ride happy

Mine too is giving 50. And someone suggested me to check the tyre pressure. So I got it checked and was 1psi more. That's acceptable variation. The SVC tuned my idle very nicely I guess. It's below 1k rpm at idling. So rapid acceleration has a lag but the mileage is superb.

Not only that, but they use plain mirror.

I had seen that photo. But didn't like the looks...

Dealers washed their hands... Said they are concerned with selling the bike 😕 nothing more. I had to beg for the Company representative's number. Finally they gave me an email id.

radikel : I suppose you are indicating towards the pic I had posted with bellypan. I'd picked it up from the internet. Must be photoshopped, as it also showed a rear disc.

Meanwhile, I just moved to Bangalore today!...rent n deposit ate up most of my savings, dunno when I'll be able to pick up my first bike :sigh:

Still stuck between Gixxer n FZ 2.0...main reason being the poor paint job on the Gixxer. Anybody knows whether Suzuki is doing something about it?? They have great bike, but such issues are major turn-offs. I'd rather play it safe with a slightly under-performing FZ

Where have you heard that the paint quality is poor? Suzuki usually maintain very high quality standards. On my white Gixxer, the paint and finish feel top-notch. Absolutely lovely to look at and touch.

What paint job issue are you referring to? I have not come across any pain job issues...the paint is fine. The only prob i face is the dirt splashing from the front and rear tyres; which leads to accumulation of mud at the front and underbelly portion of the engine...and on the mono shock.
