And yes! Fiero-Pulsar-CBZ era was a golden period. Fiero - the executive commuter. i remember the ad :: guys in suits riding fiero through flames... Before Fiero, of course, Shogun and Shaolin were the dream bikes of those days... not to forget the Samurai...the no problem bike. Suzuki never disappointed the consumers with their product. Suzuki fiero is even now a sought after bike for racing events. The dream run of fiero ended once TVS and Suzuki parted.

Gixxer is much more evolved, well targeted bike. Second coming for Suzuki. However one major flaw, which i feel, is that Suzuki has not been able to transfer their product philosophy to the guys down at the service centers. Service at most of the SVCs is disappointing and abysmal. Most of you might agree. Here at Kochi, there were two, and one has wound up...leaving the Gixxers with no other choice.

True! Gixxer edges over its direct rivals the Yamaha FZv2.0 and the Honda Hornet 160R. I hear this everyday at the parking lot, from my friend who owns a Hornet. (FZ guys don't talk.,.they just ogle at my Gixxer)

I hope and wish you'll be able to lay your hands upon the jacket soon.... Happy Riding!
    Thanks.

yes i'm reading many reports/review abt the poor service done by the ASC ( Authorized Service Centers ). but isn't that the case with every other manufacturer?. I don't know which manufacturer has the best asc for their customers, but bajaj has the worst.

      sure. I totally agree...

I'm posting some pics of Suzuki's International Riding Gears I found using Google Images. They are of much better quality than what they sell here in India.

I attached a reply for you. I believe its a simple case of over filling of Engine oil. You need to know that most mechanics do not have a basic understanding of engines. There is a difference between Engine oil capacity vs Engine refill capacity. Specific to your Gixxer 155CC, the Engine oil change capacity is 850ml, Engine oil change with filter change is 950ml and Engine overhaul change is 1100ml. Please refer your manual and get your motorcycle serviced from a knowledgeable mechanic.

+1 true. i've experienced this myself even from many seasoned mechanics.

When do one fill crankcase wth overhaul capacity?
Which engine-oil make & grade was used in this case?

            1. That's not crancase-breather-pipe, it's stator-wiring cable. Breather pipe is in the back and it connects to Air-Filter chamber.
            2. Excess oil in the crankcase may be the cause of seepage, but I think it's the finer oil components (additives/oil itself) that seep through. It's olny ugly to look at for a careful eye.
            3. If engine-oil level stays between recommended levels indicated on inspection-window then that should be alright.

            • Suzuki Gixxer 155 Jerks at High speeds

So we had recently gone for a trip and after riding for some 10-15kms the rpm started rising way high upto 5k rpm even in neutral gear . So we took it to a mechanic and he found out the accelerator cable was getting twisted due to bike handle , so he rerouted the accelerator cable . After riding for some few more kms the engine started loosing power , so another mechanic said carburetor needs to be cleaned . After carburetor cleaning it started working properly. But now at high speeds the engine jerks for a few seconds . What may be the reason ? Do I need to change the accelerator cable?
Ps: Carburetor tuning was also messed up.
Cause 1 + 1 is always equal to two :P

My odometer reading is 999 kms & due for servicing. What are the things to look for at first servicing? Will the engine oil be changed to someother grade?

Yes, you should also clean and lube the chain approx 500-600 kms

Any other guys facing the same issue? I complained about this issue twice but to vain. I'm upset and thinking to sell this nice bike just for pathetic after sale service.
My bike is TN registered, I did first 3 service in Phoenix suzuki and 4th one in KPR. After servicing in KPR, even i'm facing jerkiness in power delivery. I feel Phoenix Suzuki is good.

Even I'm facing this Sudden RPM rising issue after riding 15-20kms. After carburetor cleaning whether RPM rising issue resolved??

May be a clogged air filter, clean it if it's been a while since you cleaned it.

But since amount of drained oil depends on various factors like how hot the oil was during draining, etc, one has to always check the level once the job is done.

I have personally seen guys at SMK, Porur measure 950 ml in a big transparent mug and not simply empty a 1L can, but still level check is important.
Any Idea how much Gixxer SF Is required? im seeing my servicing invoices, all last 3 mentioned sf engine oil part code 055. since then my bike started leaking. before that its was good.

                              1. yes I too think that's not crankcase-breather-pipe.

                              2. even its excess engine oil, should it seep like this or I am being paranoid.
