(Will upload a video for you after this F* exam will be over)
I skid and flew off my bike while going at just 60. Reason: water+hard front braking = wheel lock. Wheel lock+ hump just before you = temporary superman.

I get a feeling it was the road in your case...maybe water, maybe sand, maybe the slippery paint of the white median strip.

Ive cornered at speeds around 70-80 while raiding the local hills but Ive never felt the need for better grip unless Im leaning excessively. Ive never found a need to lean excessively either unless Im taking a short fast corner, in which case, im never going at such speeds.

The handling mechanics of the GS is just too beautiful, not agile but composed.

Anyway, put up your video...it may be educational.

I still remember, it happened to me also, long ago, on a bicycle, I was driving it very fast(may be), all of a sudden, I was flying over the handlebar and I saw below my cycle leaving behind and me still flying forward, I was thinking when the F* I applied the brakes!!!! then landed on my knees and hands, but thank god i was saved as I was wearing Jeans which didn't allowed my skin to be torn. Later found out that it was the chain that broke due to excessive force, and it got tangled in the rear wheel and sort of struck the tyre like a disc brake, breaking 5 spokes in the process...... but still the feeling I had at that moment while flying was just amazing......

The height here is not 90 mm but 90% of the width of the tire. When the width is 110 mm, the height of the tire sidewall increases to 110 x .90 = 99 mm.

          • I showed my bike to a local mechanic in lonavala because there was some swaying movement when i used to turn or brake.
He said "Aage ka wheel out hai"...what does this mean???
He told me to get it corrected in the showroom as he didnt have the equipment.

I guess he was referring to wheel alignment/balancing.

The cause may be the seating of the tire on the rim, as vikhyath said. Get it refitted at a tire shop as it is not done at the SC.
If the wobbling persists after it, check the fork, T-stem, cone set and level of fork oil.

As already explained by our friend, with 110/90 tyre, the sidewall height is not 90mm.

Tyre sidewall height is 90% of the width of 110 mm = 99 mm

So, for various tyre profiles, the measurements would be:

                  100/90 = width 100 mm & height 90 mm (stock tyre)
                  110/90 = width 110 mm & height 99 mm (+9 mm height increase)
                  120/80 = width 120 mm & height 96 mm (+6 mm height increase)
                  130/70 = width 130 mm & height 91 mm (+1 mm height increase)

Obviously, the 110/90 tyre would slightly alter the bike's posture, but it will make the high pillion seat even higher, as pillion seat slopes upward.

Gs150r, Unicorn, hunk, Cbz need 18-inch tyres.
Pulsar, RTR180, SZR, Fz, Fazer, dazzler need 17-inch tyres.

Note: Apache RTR160 has 17-inch front and 18-inch rear tyre.

                  • @Punarvasu & Antonysg ::

I thought 110 mm is width and 90mm is height and is same wherever 90mm comes in spec..

Thanks for the indepth explanation... It's now clear buddy...

                    • Planning to buy GS150R

                      Hi Friends,

I am very new to this wonderful community. I am planning to buy a new GS150R as soon as possible. This week I will take a test drive and will book my bike. I believe I don't have to make a second thought after test drive as well.

I am 6 feet tall, weighing 64 Kg, thin. Hope GS's size and height will match with my physique.

Can you please tell me what are the things that need to be taken care while booking and collecting the new bike.

                        Thanks buddy.

The bike did not fall down. But will try and update you.

Congrats and warm wishes to GS community..
Chech the bike thoroughly for any scratches and rust formation..
Check all the side panels and other plastic panels in the bike are fitted properly..
Check the engine oil level, brake etc like you inspect your old bike(if so) before taking it for a ride..
Get the insurance copy and invoice of the bike during delivery ..

                          Hope this helps..

Surely. In addition, check the headlight beam and adjust it if necessary as usually it is pointing upward.
And it seems you have forgot us who are waiting for the next lesson after removing the stator coil .
