I like the chrome colour of the Heat handlebar weights. I will see if I can get it at the SVC.Originally posted by gmagesh14 View Postours weigh around 300gms(roughly saying) each(latest batch weights)..i guess they might be acting as a dampers..
FZ's and Honda's are of plastic..thats y cheaper.. I even bought hondas weights..it costed only 28rs for a set..In today's world, quotes don't matter. Quotas do!

actually i went to get black color only, but that yamaha svc didnt had it in stock..so just bought this one and it looked really nice..Originally posted by vikhyath View PostI like the chrome colour of the Heat handlebar weights. I will see if I can get it at the SVC.
initially the sales person refused to give spares to customer.. they asked me to bring the bike so that they'll fix it in svc itself..
then i spoke to the svc manager and convinced him by asking why do i need to bring my bike for this little work.. my bike is some 20kms from here and i could manage to fix it by myself.. then he told the sales person to give it...

Actually, you need to complete 9 paid services also if you want your warranty to stand.

Vibration problem
Dud I didn't try motoman method and ya its too late for it... I jus posted it as for some in need of power might find it useful...Originally posted by SparKot View PostWas Oil replaced during first service? Does the current Oil look any good?
Senior members might be able to troubleshoot it better.
It's already late to break in hard, don't you think? However, you would've been the first person to do it with GS150R as no other GS owner tried it so far.
Thanks for the info.. I did meet 2 guys @SVC speaking of the same issue & did see same complaints in other portals.. I will definitely look into crack bearing seating and engine balancer.. All the other checks suggested by u were done during my first service...Originally posted by punarvasu View PostThis is the first time we are hearing about vibration in new GS. Even the headlight visor and visor nuts are redesigned to eliminate the old vibration. So ride another GS to ascertain that what you feel is vibration of the bike.
Check the idle rpm after riding 4-5 kms and adjust it to 1400-1500. Then check the engine mounting bolts and both axle nuts and tighten those in correct torque. Check the seating of the crank bearing, readjust or replace the engine balancer and adjust the chain slackness.
Finally and if necessary, retune the carburetor at the SC bringing down the CO level to 0.15-0.20%.
And ya now m attempting to ride upto 6-6.5krpm and in such cases I DO NOT notice the problem I mentioned.. I find this issue only if I ride continously below 5krpm for more than an 30mins or so.. (though it has reduced in magnitude after first service)..
Any thoughts as to y it is so??
