Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Welcome. Benelli are working towards localization of more and more parts, which will eventually reduce cost of spares. Spark plug cost may reduce in next couple of months. However, please take care of chain sprockets with proper clean and lube as chain sprockets cost is around 15K. That is like super expensive. In coming months general service or labor cost will increase to 2500 from 1500.Originally posted by Shashank Suresh View Postok cool.. Thanks again for sharing
Today, I was charged 2500 for labor by the receptionist/ billing lady. When I inquired she said cost has been revised. I immediately checked with South India Service head who asked lady to change it to 1500 as new prices have not yet been implemented.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I heard the same about the chain sprocket... It is indeed expensive... What's the average lifetime of the sprocket installed in the 300 ? 2.5k for labour is way too expensive... Please inbox me the Service Head's number.. It might come in handyOriginally posted by experimentalhead View PostWelcome. Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
My Goodness! Its costing as much as the Ninja's now. 2.5K for labor is bloody expensive. Im planning for this beast in the near future but from what you guys are talking im a bit scared.
I always want my ride to be perfect, just perfect! CBR 250R's parts are reasonably cheap and but the availability/service knowledge of the mechanics really sux. Im always worried about that.
I dont wanna settle for a single cylinder again. My heart wants a twin and after all hearing the orgasmic grunt of this unbelievable parallel twin its really, really, really hard to resist!Ride Safe!
Cheers,
Maneesh S

I'm curious to know how're you planning to ride with the running in instructions?
I checked with the dealers, they told that it's good to take the new bike for a long ride to run in only thing is I should not cross the 5000 rpm. That means I should ride slowly.

After escalating the prevailing issues, i finally got messages, calls and emails apologizing and finalizing my bike's delivery.
Finally things are falling into place.
I cordially invite everyone in this thread to visit the showroom on Monday (I'll confirm the timing beforehand). Please join me and share the happiness during my first bike's delivery.
See you all there
Happily

Yes, I am the one who is taking the other green. I wish i am there with you on Monday. But I have to go back to Nagercoil today and come back on Tuesday.

Yeah... I guess you can reach 70 kmph at 5000 rpm. That's pretty slow for the highway. Anyway.... enjoy your rideOriginally posted by saronoelle View PostI checked with the dealers, they told that it's good to take the new bike for a long ride to run in only thing is I should not cross the 5000 rpm. And with respect to the long ride... Ride within 5k RPM and rest the vehicle after every hour. Let it cool down for 30 minutes.

I just confirmed with the showroom guys that they are not going to increase the labour charge in Chennai to 2.5k for the 300.... For the 600 the labour charge is 2.5k...Originally posted by sman999 View PostMy Goodness! Its costing as much as the Ninja's now. 2.5K for labor is bloody expensive. Bro I was just joking.Originally posted by ShaijuAK View PostWas talking of rear panniers without the tail box... Will be trying some DIY with local sets to see how it looks in flesh...
I hope you didn't take me wrong.
I guess this is the only way we can fix a tail box to the TNT 300. We will also have to install the holder under the rear seat. (600GT has this installed probably we can check it out) . The 3 box set costs about $600...Its better to sweat than to bleed...

Yes, the ones shown are available on Aliexpress costing @40k landed price. Hence doing some jugaad with studds box to experience it on busy streets... more for some occasional practicality without compromising on aesthetics.Originally posted by Shashank Suresh View PostI guess this is the only way we can fix a tail box to the TNT 300. Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Adding panniers and the box only adds to weight of an already heavy beast and would result in change of dynamics, I suppose. Recently I tried Rynox tail bag which did the duty superbly and 300 also did not feel any stress as luggage was not that loaded and was sitting comfortably on pillion seat. If a pillion has to accompany one for long rides, then one would have to look for panniers in such a way that it does not affect rear indicators and the dynamics of the bike.

Please note that during run in you are not supposed to ride at constant speed and RPMs. You need to vary RPM for the new components to mate in properly. On highways one tends to ride at constant speeds and RPMs.Originally posted by saronoelle View PostI checked with the dealers, they told that it's good to take the new bike for a long ride to run in only thing is I should not cross the 5000 rpm. I took my 300 to some rides on highways during run in period. But ensured that speed/ RPM was constantly changed and bike was stopped quite frequently so that it's not stressed. It did take extra time to cover the distance and reach destination. But it was worth and fun.
