They told me that they had registered mine but yet to get the number. Hopefully Ill get it today. I did enquire about you at the showroom, they told me that you did not come. Anyways, please do follow up with them. If the roads were any better I would have come for the delivery ceremony. Please do keep us updated.Originally posted by saronoelle View PostCongrats.

How did you solve your affidavit problem ?
As they did not provide me enough info when I got my own affidavit, they told me to pay half the amount so that they can take care from their end... I gave them Rs 800... Surprisingly they told me that the affi was only 1k this time...

To All
And am i the only one who is scared after buying a new bike ? I am scared about its safety... Is this is a phase everyone goes through after buying something new and expensive ?
I was talking to another xbhp'ian about this on whatsapp, what are the safety measures you guys take to protect your bike ?
1. Do we have a disc lock for 300 ? If yes how safe is it ?
2. Will a fork lock help ? Please suggest if it would.
3. Normal locks that are used for tying the helmet with bike around the back or front wheel, will this help.
4. I have bought a cover and covered the bike.
5. Safety alarm is ruled out as it will void the warranty.
Please let me know if you guys have any suggestion to save me from this paranoidal phase (except a psychiatrist LOL).

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Heard that due to rain and flood Chennai is devastated. I understand the urgency of getting your hands on your beast ASAP. But please consider the risk of riding it in knee deep waters and bad roads. Its better you can wait until the rain stops.Originally posted by saronoelle View PostCongrats.

In the mean time if you can lend your hands for some help in all the means you can, it would be very helpful for Chennaites stuck in rain.
Hope the rain stops and you get your 300 soon.

Covering the bike should help from attracting new visitors directly to your bike. But it is very hard to shoo away attraction after you feast them with that eargasmic exhaust. Definitely they ll come and check your bike after you park and go inside. Unless your area is full of thieves and such bike thefts happen often, just dont worry about it. Covering it should do and you ll get used to it.
As far i know if you want wire locks try the ones in the Decathlon stores. (Hope you heard of them) They are cheap, sturdy and long enough so that if you have anything to tie up to, near by the bike, you can. For example, you park near the wall, you can fix a clamp in the wall and loop the wire in the clamp and the wheel of the bike.
PS: The cover might get stolen first!
Ride Safe!

yes I do live in an apartment. I live in one of the poshest (if a word like this exists ) area in chennai. But the sad part is that there is a slum close to my neighbourhood. I've heard that they are one of the dangerous slums in chennai... To add on the night watchmen who are hired are useless...Originally posted by sman999 View Post

Yes I will cover my bike and chain it regularly. I've heard of the shop name you mentioned above. I'll check it out. Thanks for your input my friend. Really really helpful..

PS: If you are unable to ride due to rains, just start the motorcycle, and wait till it touches 60 degrees and also check electricals till the temperature touches 60.

its really really bad. Thank you for keeping us in your prayer.
I still have to do the pooja... Waiting for the incessant rain to stop.
And ill start the vehicle tomorrow morning and check if everything is working fine. I bought a cover but it is of no good... The bike was drenched with the cover on. I later whipped it and put two huge laundry covers on top and then put the existing cover and for now it seem to do the trick. Any chance the Electricals may fail because of rain ? If yes what should I do ?

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Shashank, there should be no problem ideally. Normally electricals work fine even during ride in the rains. Electricals may get affected during pressure wash. Considering Chennai rain lashing being no less than a high pressure wash, please have the bike properly covered.Originally posted by Shashank Suresh View Postits really really bad.
