Though it depends purely on rider & maintenance, but Chain & Sprocket should last 25 K minimum...

I recommend replacing Chain & Sprocket both together at once may be if maintained properly should go beyond 35 K IMHO. and after 35 K if I have to replace both, I won't think twice.

PS: not sure if Benelli sell Chain & Sprocket individually.

Phase-2: after 1000 km, one can cross 5k rpm but not more than 8k rpm till 1600 km mark. Post 1600 km, you can open throttle beyond 8k rpm.
Here, I have seen some owners putting less miles on their bike after a month and service centre folks just do basic check and ask the owner to come back at 1000 km mark for engine oil change.
Hmm.. so it's possible that they might even ask me to wait until 1000 km is done, before doing the first service? Thanks for the heads-up, I'll call up the Benelli guys and ask them for sure.

If a pillion has to accompany one for long rides, then one would have to look for panniers in such a way that it does not affect rear indicators and the dynamics of the bike.

Please note that during run in you are not supposed to ride at constant speed and RPMs. You need to vary RPM for the new components to mate in properly. On highways one tends to ride at constant speeds and RPMs.
I took my 300 to some rides on highways during run in period. But ensured that speed/ RPM was constantly changed and bike was stopped quite frequently so that it's not stressed. It did take extra time to cover the distance and reach destination. But it was worth and fun.

Thanks for the advice. I will follow that. I am planning to cover the distance in three days.

Did anyone from Bangalore get calls for the Free Service Checkup ... ?

            Also :

Noticed an aesthetic issue with the Swing Arm Spool on the right side of the bike.

            * Mount point is slightly tilted. It was more prominent after the sliders were fixed on it.
            * No functional issue but looks odd when you look at it.
            * Sunil had shared the pictures with DSK regarding this. Not sure if they are going to do something about it.

Binil, service centre folks have been calling all benelli owners to schedule slots for free check up which begins from today.
I am skipping this as my 300 underwent 3rd service last Saturday.
You may get your call soon.
Did not notice any such issue with my 300

It was also seen in my bike on one side... Seems as if some one had stepped on it and it got bent downwards... But was like that right from the time the sliders were installed.

It seems it has effected only one lot of swingarms'. Lets see will bring it up next time i visit or if i get a call for the checkup.

The spool on the might bike too is slightly bent towards the rear. I was not even aware , Joseph from Bangalore SVC actually pointed it out to me.

Yup, that is what i'm talking about. Do bring this to their notice as a higher number of concerns raised would help us get a solution for this.

I noticed the bend in the right rear slide just today. logged into to share and I see people are already on it. Will let Joseph know. More pressure, hopefully faster solution.

Regarding my bike drifting to the right. Had a chat with the senior mechanic when I had gone for the free check up, they said they will get the t section changed. Hopefully that will solve the issue. Will keep you guys posted

Yes, spool on the right is bent inward. That is on most of the bikes. There is no issue with the paddock so do not make any changes or fixes unless absolutely required.
The bent is just a little. I've been using paddock but noticed recently when one of the Mumbai customer pointed it out.

People have praised the job done by Italian Engineers. Satisfied with overall outcome. I'm hoping that local technicians definitely learned a few tricks from them. The checks done by the Italians are far more exhaustive than done during regular service. Not sure if they had different analyzer, as no one was allowed inside the service area. But if you receive the call & have time, get your bike checked. One thing to note that they have asked people to use 97 Octane fuel.
Thumbs up to DSK for this initiative. Hope they continue the good work started by Italian engineers.

I went there today, didn't schedule the appointment as no call received from DSK & also I was not keen to do the check up.
The free paint sealant not sure how good it is, only after couple of weeks people can judge it. For me with PPF on..it was a waste.

Got my Nero check from Italian engineers today; didn't had a chance to interact with them but they are straight into business..

I have complained regarding Vibration at around 5000 rpm (both mirrors blurring my rear view) and some strange noise from front suspension if brake hard.

Both the issue are gone now (rode for some 15-20 km to check it), trust me bike is feeling smooth without much of vibration at any band (yet to see beyond 7000 rpm). Bike was cleaned nicely with glass-coating (some brand for Teflon coating) as a complimentary. Happy with over all experience...
