Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Today I completed the Pooja. Took my mom out for a ride. My first ride's experience - boy oh boy what a machine... The engine is butter smooth. That thud noise while shifting from N to gear 1... Everyone on the road were looking at me and few even followed to check what it was... Anyway, I'll post a review soon once the road becomes good. I'm maintaining at 5k RPM and shifting the gear and speed constantly even during the short ride. I'm also making sure I don't drive in 6th gear at 35 kmph... Also, when I was putting the cover, I found rust marks on the rest disc... Is it something common ? I'm worried actually... Not much of rust, but it's quite evident even when you stand and look at the rear disc plate... Is this something common ? Do I need to apply lube to the plates every week or something ?Originally posted by experimentalhead View PostShashank, there should be no problem ideally. Normally electricals work fine even during ride in the rains. Electricals may get affected during pressure wash. Considering Chennai rain lashing being no less than a high pressure wash, please have the bike properly covered.Hope to see some lovely pictures of you riding with your dearest mom, very soon.

Welcome bro . Dont worry about the rust on disk . Its usual. It will wear off when you ride. It happens when the disk comes in contact with water.Originally posted by Shashank Suresh View Postthank you bro for keeping us in your prayers. Can't wait for take NYX for a spin :-)

Shashank Suresh, congrats mate, have a safe ride always..
Guys went to SVC yesterday and got the free checkup done from the Italian master minds, the bikes behaves completely different very smooth, the gear shift is leaner and a free round of polish. Bike sounds different and the mid range has improved. Really these guys know what they are doing and very happy with the job done on the bike..I DON'T LET MY BIKE DOWN, MY BIKE DOESN'T LET ME DOWN......

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
I sincerely hope that right knowledge has been passed on to our service center folks. I also hope that our service center guys were attentive throughout and learnt some great tricks. Otherwise, next service would be extremely disappointing for sure.Originally posted by MUSTANG 27 View Post@Shashank Suresh, congrats mate, have a safe ride always..

Thats normal buddy, the rust will form due to the moisture present in the air and when certain parts of the disc doesn't come in contact with the plate, it collects rust. But it nothing to worry about. Dont lube the plates and all, and you might find yourself rallying on the city roads
. The rust will wear off soon as we ride it.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Some days back i went for a ride with the TNT Mumbai group, while coming back suddenly the radiator started leaking from the rear, noticed that the coolant leaked only when the bike went on uneven surfaces on the road. We stopped by to inspect the bike the temperature was normal and did not rise above 92.
Level in the reservoir was below low had almost finished, so we called the Service guys they suggested me to top it up. I dint wanted to call the RSA since i thought it might have over flowed and there was no fluctuation in the temperature.
After returning from the ride i went to the service center the same day, the service manager was kind enough to keep the service center open for me till 8:30 pm.
Next day i called to check what was wrong and they said the radiator is punctured from the back side, so the center manager logged an FIR with the company for warranty. This warranty claim was rejected by the company, saying the clamps which hold the fan was bent and this was a physical damage according to them which cannot be claimed in the warranty.
One possibility the service guy thought must have happend was the bike must have hit a nasty pothole which never occurred.
I have completed only 1700 kms on this bike, i do not ride like a maniac, i also maintain the bike in pristine condition(did not ride it during rains)also keep it away from sunlight and under a cover, also did not do any kind of MoD on the bike not even stickers or Decals.
So i wonder who tampered with the bike then the service guys or the factory?
Since i ride my bike daily i did not want to wait and fight about the issue cos i had seen a fellow riders issue about faulty part installed by the factory being dragged for more than a month.
Hence i fixed the radiator by claiming insurance. New Radiator Cost is Rs. 20000 + Labor Charges. As I gaze upon your beauty, I think to myself, "never have I seen an angel fly so low".
