What are all the points that I have to observe in the bike? I can manage to get the bike for 2.9 laks!

Ah OK my bad. Mine is not a showroom piece. I'm from mangalore. Bike's in mysore. Showroom bikes are not usually ridden carefully during the break in so do a couple of long test rides on it, or rather get someone who has an R3. and get a good price. Cheers

2.9L for a showroom bike?! I don't know about you but I'd stay away. I'd rather get a brand new Duke 390 that's better in almost every segment. And personally, according to me its safer to ride the new 390 because it's now because much more docile and calmer and it also has ABS and metzelers on its side.

390 is definitely a good bike! value for money! But r3 feels more comfortable! After testriding both, my personal choice is R3!

Try to get a better price as 2.9 is quite steep. Somewhere around 2.3 maybe?

As I said, it'd help lots if you have a friend who already owns an R3. Or maybe an xbhpian from your city could help. 😅 good luck

It's a great machine to start learning on, and a great machine to keep riding till it dies. All that, provided you know your own limits and have the maturity not to push your luck. The R3 can go fast, that's no secret. Knowing when to go fast and when not to, is the skill one needs to possess. If you have that judgement right, it won't matter if you get an R3 or a Hayabusa, you'll be safe and keep learning.

So, I guess the real question here is - are you ready for the R3? Can you show the maturity to go slow on a fast bike?

I hope I wasn't too vague in answering the question. If you don't understand this, then one of two things is true; either I suck at explaining concepts or you aren't ready for the R3. I would say it's the latter, because I've been commended on how well I articulate abstract and sensitive matters by many. But I've been wrong before, and I don't know you so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
                      Dear All,

My first post here after going through 267 pages... Awesome advice...

                      Thanks Bro...

P.S. I have RX 100 Jan 1996 model and have been dreaming about the R3....

Got the news from a dealer in Mumbai that R3 would be launched in 3 more months.
Reason to believe this is based on the fact that he kept saying he had no idea when it will relaunch all this while. (Yeah, I call him every 2 weeks )
Also 3 months coincides with Diwali time. So let's keep going ur fingers crossed and hope Yamaha acts fast.

I would love to see the lovely R3 with ABS. I really don't understand while Honda came up with ABS long back in 2011, why other manufacturers like Yamaha and Suzuki still lacking in that department even after long 6 years. It's a real shame to these brands.
