For low end torque, you have following motorcycles:

    Dominar 400
    Re 650 twin
    Mahindra mojo xt 300.

I doubt he can consider anything other than the Dominar here, considering that he's on a budget. Moto is a terrible choice over the other two and has a lot of issues plaguing it. It also doesn't have an ABS.

I was talking about Upcoming mojo 300 abs , and it has good low end torque and it's the most refined single cylinder 300cc category bike in india, I've personally ridden both domi and mojo and i am 100% sure about what i said about mojo , even ut 300 is also smooth.

        A picture after taking a testride .

Mojo is more reliable than other two, no coolant issue, no vibrations, perfect ergonomics for touring, metal tank for mounting magnetic tank range, highest tank capacity of 21 litres, smooth gearbox, low pillion seat height than dominar, dohc motor, unique styling , awesome exhaust note, what else one needs !

Well, the lack of proper service centres is a big issue. I've met Bulu Biker a while ago. He told me how the lack of service centres (most of Mahindra ones have closed) have caused issues for his Mojo and his wife's Gusto.

Also, the Mojo is priced way about the Dominant and for that price the features it offers should have no issues. There are a lot of issues apart from the general asthetics you mentioned. Hopefully they'll be fixed in the ABS Model. Also, I realised that we have gone a bit too far discussing other bikes in the Hornet thread. Let's put a stop to this.

Ut is priced lower than dominar. In my area mahindra svc is good, it was my point of view it's upto gowtham what he decides, I've just given my opinion. I mentioned not about aesthetic, I mentioned about practicality as a tourer, tell me which bike gives such huge tank range with reliability+ touring friendly ergonomics+ refinement+ tubeless tyres( not jawa or re bikes) apart from dominar, mojo was built only for touring, not as a power cruiser like dominar. And ,it's DOMINAR not#Dominant or # Dominor, atleast spell name of motorcycles correctly, common man! You're in xbhp. [emoji57]

I know very well what the name is (you can look through my previous posts). My phone keeps autocorrecting Dominar to everything else. I'm not sure about the rates in Assam but the Mojo here costs above ₹2L compared to the Dominar at ₹1.94L.

As for Gowtham, he asked for a city bike with good FE which can do highway duties as well. You did mention practicality and except for the tank range, Dominar is every bit reliable and touring friendly, which is evident by the fact that there are more Moto vloggers who use Dominar for long trips and hyper riding as compared to Mojo. Bajaj bikes are every bit reliable as some other Japan counter parts. I'm not a huge Bajaj fan but Dominar is every bit of practical and maybe more. It may not be a huge power house but the fact that it has reached the attention of more masses, speaks for itself.

Ut 300? Just because a motorcycle sells less doesn't mean that it's bad, if you follow mojo and dominar thread you'll know about the issues. If you can suggest cbr then why not mojo atleast it's cheaper and abs version will be also cheaper. The amount of thrill that gowtham wants will not be fulfilled by a mileage oriented bike, thatswhy i told him to keep his hornet for daily commutes. Dominar is vfm therefore it sells more, but if one narrows down his requirements then it's quite easy for choosing a bike, also think yourself , servicing will be better in a bajaj svc filled with duscovers and ct 100's or relatively very less crowded mahindra showroom. Actually feeling of premium servicing is missing in bajaj, unlike mahindra . Ok, bdw Bismaya when you'll get your motorcycle, i am quite excited and happy for you, do keep posting about your new bike, and also send sweets ( mithai) to me in my address [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]

Yes guyzz agreeing with all your points, btw am not expecting mileage oriented... I just expects some 35 to 40kmpl for the sake of decent FE and not to spend a bang for fuel if I wants to ride some 300 km single stretch in my bike...

That's why I will be ok with decent-high-powered (250 to 300cc) , which is not a less-potent bike (infact it will be good enough for touring, city ride with decent fe)... Actually bikes beyond beyond 400cc, are they be able to tested to its full potential on indian roads? No rite, only in rare few highways we can try their full power...

In that case, I think my considerations are better...

Soon; a bit confused ATM. I was informed at Hero Showroom that all their IBS (CBS) bikes will be arriving in December. I excluded xBlade from the list due to the lack of reliability in city traffic (huge density; I live in a rather crowded place). Hero Achiever and Yamaha FZ are more suitable to the rides here. I've tested FZ, xBlade and Achiever. Narrowed it down to Achiever and FZ (both are very different bikes, yet managed to fulfill my city requirements). The guys at Yamaha showroom have a waiting time of till February and Hero has a waiting time of January if I book by Monday. This is what keeps my hopes down. My brother advises me time and again to exchange the Unicorn (it's out of maintenance and frankly I cannot use 3 bikes; CD100, Spl. Pro and Uni). I'm hoping to shift the Spl to my dad's work place by next month and if the waiting period is so long, it might be worth waiting to see if the 2019 variants of the bikes come with CBS/ABS. Also, I might get a salary increment in January, so there's that to factor in.

Buying a new bike is a nasty business that I haven't had to handle ever (since most of mine are pre-owned and my brother pretty much handled the Unicorn purchase back in 2016.

I can say for a fact of experience that the Dominar returns about 30 to 40kmpl. Not sure about Mojo (no offence #bpk). No 400cc bike can be tested to full potential unless you ride it on a long interstate highway (like Mumbai-Pune).

I think dominar returns about 25kmpl in city and max 35kmpl in highway.
Wait for next year buy fz v 3 with abs.

That looks enticing tbh. Saw it on Rushlane a week back. Looks like a bigger bike in comparison to FZ V2. I kind of like the current FZ FI. It just needs an ABS.
