So Pune is not the city where TVS wants to launch FI or ABS.
What a bunch of lethargic and disinterested staff.
Did not even feel like asking them about the A200 RE 2.0.

I asked in Wagholi and Kharadi. They said there is no stock available and they did request for ABS version but TVS hasn't released it. I have my doubts about the after sales service too.

Motul 7100 is an ester based fully synthetic
oil therefore the drain period is similar to
other fully synthetic oils, you can use it for
                upto 6-7K Kms.
Apache 200 produces its peak power 21bhp
at 8500 rpm. The engine will rev up to 11k
rpm but no change in power output. You
better keep revv limit upto 7500 rpm.

I’m using 300v factory line 5w-30 for past 8000kms. It’s premium than 7100. Mine is a bit hard riding doing more than 8k rpm for longer durations. It lasted for something between 4-4.5 k . Btw TVS true4 lasted only for 1500kms.
I had Ktm 200 before. And used motul 7100. It lasted for 5000k for good riding.
My point is, engine oil degrades comparatively more in apache 200.
Don’t push it till 7000kms. Check the oil condition for every 4000kms in case of premium oils. It depends upon how you ride. And remember all apaches are very sensitive to engine oils.

About redline.... it’s not mentioned anywhere. But peak power is at 8.5k rpm so the redline should start at least a 1k rpm post that. May be above 9.5k rpm. But it struggles to go past 9k rpm.

I had faced tappet noise after some 2500kms and that was around 2nd servicing.
Mechanics at service centre tried fixing it but they couldn't find any solution, so they ordered a new engine head which would have new valves snd all this was covered under warranty.
I still need to check if there was any effect in performance like top speed or acceleration but tappet noise is definitely gone.
After changing engine head I had been to long ride of 450kms and my bike was working perfect.. Just I need to perform some quick acceleration and high speed test..
can you tell me, what are symptoms of faulty engine head.

the bike feels good initally, after 5-7kms of ride i am facing engine heat, increased noise from engine, loss of power on all gears,
                    for ex: initially i can do 45-50kmph @ 3gears now incant even do 35kmph @ 3rd gear, and i can do only 50-6kmph @ 5th gears.

As i am going abroad I will not be able to use my new bike for about 9 months !!!
the bike just completed 2000 km. I'll keep half tank so that mom can start the engine and let it idle for 5 mins every sunday.

Any precautions I have to take ?

The bike should be ridden at least once a month...

if possible have someone take the bike out for a spin once or twice a month.

if it's not going to be ridden, keep just 1 litre of fuel, because fuel tends to go bad in a couple of months. more fuel can be added if required later on.
change the oil and oil filter, use a fully syn oil like the motul 7100 10w40.
pump up the tire pressure by + 5-10 psi over the recommended, and use the main stand. and as you mentioned let someone start the bike and idle it for 5 minutes, and maybe pump the brakes also a few times.

I booked re 2.0 abs white and red and got delivered yesterday by susheel motors, Hyderabad. On road price is 131k. I rode the bike for 32kms already. The ride quality is amazing. It sure is a head Turner. It grabbed lot of eyeballs. And kids were seeing it like a candy. Hahahaha. There is some heat felt around my legs, but that's ok till run in period. I m first in Hyderabad to get this. Any suggestions and precautions that I should take? I would welcome all suggestions. Thanks

A question to the owners of this machine from a prospective buyer...In Pulsar NS 200, the valve/tappet clearance needs to be inspected and adjusted every 5000 km...Do we have to do the same in the Apache RTR 200 4V as well? Please shed some light on this!

No need to check that often unless the tappet noise is there. It may be mentioned in the service recommendations but it’s unnecessary. I used my ns200 for 44k kms. But never adjusted the tappet clearance and the it was fine. Now I’m about to cross 20k kms I’m my rtr200. Never adjusted the tappet and it’s running fine.
