no it should not, just put it back the way it's supposed to and there should be no issues.

Planning to buy one in the next three months. A few queries to fellow rtr 200 owners.

        a) Does the headlight run on battery? I could not find whether AC or DC

        b) What is the maximum mileage when driving smoothly between 60 to 80 kms.

        c) How is the in gear acceleration meaning can I drive in 4th gear from 30 kms.

        Thanks

How is your GS? Should have easily crossed 1.5 lakhs on Odo by now?

No Sold my GS. Servicing the bike was a bike issue. One showroom near my house was closed. Last Odometer was 1,29,000. Brought a seconds xtreme from my cousin in 2015. Have crossed 70,000. Still searching for a replacement bike.

Nice to know it served for a good 1.3 lakh kms. Bro, you interested in Xtreme 200 too?

And may I too add a few questions to Owners of 200 4v.

              1. Does the clutch plates require frequent replacement? I know it depends on type of use but TVS specifies it has to be checked every 21 k kms and replaced if required.
              2. Does 200 comes with slipper ART clutch only - it is safe to take such a vehicle down the ghats like ooty - will there be appreciable engine braking?
              3. Are you guys replacing countershaft seal retainer and chain guide every 9000 kms as mentioned in Shop Manual?

                  a) The headlamp on your motorcycle runs on DC
                  b) Close to 30 to 35
                  c) You can as long as you are in the right RPM. Too low a RPM and you start lugging the engine, which isn't a good way to drive.

                  Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                  The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                    A. DC and directly runs on battery. It has a electronic circuit that reduces the brightness of headlight when the vehicle is on idle speed for more than 10sec.
                    B. In city it’ll be around 35 but in highways you’ll get around 40-45 on those speeds.
                    C. You can. But that’s not advisable. It put unnecessary stress on components.

Yesterday, i hit the top speed of 133kmph and was surprised to see that speed for a 31000 kms old chain. As per my knowledge as the chain gets old and spoilt the pick up, speed and mileage reduces. But still i am not getting any of those signs. Dont no about pick up that much but speed and mileage hasn't reduced. Mileage still is above 35 or atleast 35 kmpl whenever checked.

Can you make sure its not the oil from the gear lever or the stand? I have observed that they generally lube & oil such parts.

No. It's not from gear lever or stand. It's right from middle of engine. May be drain pipe. I don't know

Check they have fastened the drain bolt properly. If it’s tight check the bolt washer.

I saw Yellow color liquid was dripping. I thought it was engine oil. I took it to svc. It's fixed now. It was definitely engine oil leaking.
