It is possible... 2nd gear goes as high as 76kmph in my case considering my weight is bit on higher side. If anyone wants to do speed run plz shift gears after 10k rpm (not in 1st gear offcours) u all will see a big difference in top end!.. just make sure ur bike is in good condition & u have proper tyer pressure.

Thanks,

But in my case when I am in 2nd gear engine starts making gear shifting noise around 30, please explain speed limit for each gear on this bike for smooth run of the engine ,please someone tell me the ideal rpm ,I complained about starting issue ,tvs guy altered my rpm

It's just that in lower hear you can hear more of the engine as speeds are low, thats why you may think that engine is making too much noise.

Whereas in higher gears the bike itself is faster (as same rpm) and we do not hear the engine with same intensity due to is being in motion.

It has something to do with sound and superimposition of sound waves of moving objects

I am able to make my bike start today. I engaged to apply the choke for 10 mins. kept constantly hitting the self for 3-4 times and give a break for 1 min, and then tried. Tried rotating the back wheel manually about 10-20 km speed. Tried the self, the engine came back to life. Will check for the same issue tomorrow, if it does appear again, will definitely take it to the svc.

But I was wondering if you tried starting by push method. Because if you did & the engine didn't start, then the problem isn't electric. You may have to take it to the SVC or local mechanic at least. Usually, there isn't an issue because most engines start with this method. You should definitely try that.

I encountered a few problems in around 10 days of ownership. The issues are as follows:
1) The key is not going and coming out of the ignition smoothy. I need to shake the key violently to get insert it or take it out.
2) The rear wheel is not rotating freely. I put my bike on centre stand. The front wheel was rotating freely but the rear wheel was not rotating freely. It appears as if the brake pads are griping it.
3) Rust on chain.
4) It's rainy season in Chennai. There are some water drops in 2 side indicators.
I have attached a few images also for chain rusting and water in indicators.

Went through a minor accident today. Suddenly Basted came from wineshop to road and it is lb road. I applied front break, then wheel looks up. It happened on very slow speed. May be 10 to 20 kmph speed. I follen to ground. Indica car is coming parallel to me, hitted my right hand. I was wearing Spartan jacket, it helped me a bit. But internal liner did a little damage to my skin. My back break tends to lock easily and not effective at all. Front and back break travel distance is high. Some times I feel like I am having drum breaks. I test rode a new bike showroom. Breaking difference is huge compared to my bike. Is that my bike break is only having problem or everyone else facing the same. Please kindly help me...

My chain is rusted more than you just in 3 weeks in rains.

Oh man, hope you are fine. How old is your bike? I feel my braking performance has reduced marginally, and my bike is only 2500km old. Check out this post, ALI.R has changed the piston assembly for front brake and it has helped.

The culprit was the piston assembly in the master cylinder which pumps the brake oil into the line. Everything else is working perfectly. Upon inspecting the piston assembly, it was clear that springs had recessed and were no longer strong enough to pump the brake oil properly. Also noticed were scratches the improper piston had caused on the walls of the cylinder shaft and it required polishing.

Instead of using a stock piston as replacement (approx. Rs. 300), my mechanic used one which comes as stock on Honda Hornet (approx Rs500). It's a perfect fit and the braking performance is now better than it has ever been on my RTR. Thank **** for that! I have also replaced the Dot3 fluid with Dot4 type.

On a bike so well put together, I wonder why TVS chose to cut corners on the braking unit of all things. The unit is being sourced from some obscure Chinese manufacturer it seems (I noticed some chinese markings inside the master cylinder. Hope they don't do that on more advanced bikes like the Akula.

Did you replaced back break assembly as well?
