Cant deny the rare factor of RR310. Wish TVS could have spent a bit on advertising of RR310 and its availablity. Just 63 showrooms all over India wont help in any way. (In comparison you can find a ktm showroom anywhere and Baja showroom at any street)

But somewhere I have deep strong feeling that Bajaj might pull another surprise like RE Interceptor price, they might not increase the price atall for the new face-lift and keep it exact same current price.Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostOhh, it will reach RR310 price in Pune for sure.
Imagine the hype they'll get around for this, all bike reviewers on Youtube, TV and magazines will be like cheapest bike with USD, DOHC for the same old price.
Only time can tell and confirm all the new specs and price when they launch it.Last edited by kiran2508; 01-13-2019, 07:26 PM.Bajaj SuperFE 150 - Forever in my heart

Launch it at the same affordable price that it held earlier.
Bringing it close to 3L onroad price of RE I650 is not going to help.
They wished for 10k units per months which ended as 500+ per month.
India loves performance bikes but wallet restrictions weighs it down heavily.
Dashboard change, USD forks, better brake pads/rotors and power bump could do a lot as a facelift.Regards,

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi,
As mentioned before even i had tire crack at the walls and the MRF guys insisted to get the wheel removed from SVC as they don't have proper equipment for the same for heavy bikes like Domi(I though equipment like Paddock stand), Thus i started with SVC got the tire removed from there and got a letter from Bajaj SVC that thy have inspected the tire and it has a complaint and recommend replacement under warranty. I suggested a new ECU update to be flashed for my domi in SVC, as i remember i had updated it 8 months back, and Vibration reduction kit and chain slider. Took the tire and reached MRF Faast Indiranagar Bengaluru, they took 15 mins for which thy quoted inspection of the tire they asked me to check the inspection result (I had 8 punctures and 1 nail unremoved- 9 punctures in total). They quoted the tire has so many punctures thus it would have run many miles with low pressure(I think they are absolutely right) which caused the walls to crack i acknowledge (In mind i was thinking warranty will not be accepted as its a user mistake), They asked me to come to the other counter side where the reception like is arranged , 3mm dept was remaining in the tire , thus new tire would have 6mm which infers 50% usage. They insisted 1638Rs to replace new tire , I was happy i accepted and they replaced it with new one. Wow nice experience by the way.
By the time i returned to SVC the ECU update was on the process (The service person told 117 for ABS is the new Software) post ECU update and Vibration reduction kit and chain slider everything was ready and they explained me i would experience bike switching its ignition OFF as ECU learns and it would be there for some time. I'm experiencing the bike gets OFF quite often, But bike now is very smooth in power delivery and less vibration and power delivery has become more linear.
Overall nice feel I'm feeling as though i got a oil change and i was riding it with new oil in the bike(Oil was not changed but it felt that smooth). the oil was 2k kms old.
Question is for how many kms or how long would I experience this bike turning OFF issue ??

Yes, Here in bengaluru its available. I just asked Vibration reduction kit and chain slider they said yes and its free of cost.Originally posted by Pavithranmt View PostIs there is any vibration reduction kit available for dominar in svcs??
It takes around 4 hrs for vibration reduction kit and chain slider to fit.

It will stall only for the initial few kms say 5 15 kms max, use revv matching to avoid it.Originally posted by Arjunachu View PostHi,

If u still experiencing the stalling than on the next day leave rhe bike ot idle for 5 mintues and see if it helps, otherwise a reflash.

That'll last only for a few kms. The ECU will learn your riding inputs and then adjust itself.Originally posted by Arjunachu View PostHi,

That is one knowledgeable guy at the SVC because I don't actually have expectations from them to know about stalling like this. [emoji28]
The MRF tyre deal is a good one but then this is also a learning to make sure you fill up air and stay in the recommended pressures by Bajaj.Regards,

And MRF advised me to stick on to mushroom puncture and not those sticky puncture we get locally. I knew this before ,but he explained me as i had 1 of those in my tire puncture.
I have got the mushroom puncture kit from GrandPit shop where we need not remove the tire and get mushroom puncture like normal one.Last edited by Arjunachu; 01-14-2019, 12:43 PM.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hello,
Can anyone help me with the below ?
1) Chain noise is consistently irritating me. I have a 2017 Jan model and also have chain slider installed but when clutch is depressed or bike goes on humps or potholes i heard the chain tuk tuk noise. chain is touching the chain casing/cover. Popular BGRoad and Banashankari say this is expected from Dominar. I need to somehow fix this.
2)Good Mechanic in Bangalore for Dominar service. Lately i am getting some sounds from the MID display unit, visor side.
3) Suggestions for good aftermarket light, need to get this installed without splicing any existing wires.
Thanks!

Gear indicator can be fixed and many have already done it, u can order it from AliExpress or the duke 390 one the older model is a perfect fit, just need lcd display for that.Originally posted by faysal_khan View PostHello. A query regarding the upcoming Dominar.
What is the possibility of successful installation of both consoles from upcoming dominar to get those additional features?
Gear indicator won't work definitely.
Re of the stuff would need more changes as these are linked to different sensors and ecu needs to be updated. Clear picture will only come out once the bike is released and spares starts arriving so as of now everything would be a wild guess.

2. Kms you have done on the current chain-sprocket?
3. Did you hit any speedbump or pothole at high speed or too much load to cause uneven alignment of the rear wheel over the bolt? It could be due to misaligned chassis.Regards,

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
1 There is no getting away from this slow speed chain noise as the swingarm is very long no matter what slack u maintain it is bound to touch the slider and this is why the chain slider is used, i also felt slight increase in the slow seep kat kat on bad road after installation of the chain slider clamp could possibly be the metal made clamp. Just keep the chain slack on the correct measurements and ignore the kat kat, i only feel this cut cut while exiting ky street and once the visor is shut and i hit the road i forget about it.Originally posted by chandrav View PostHello,

And one more thing do not over Tight the chain slack to avoid this as that too don't help.
2 no idea

Hi Ijs,Originally posted by Ijs View PostExhaust muffler is only new bit, catcon and other important bits are still down below in the convertor box. And if i am not wrong the bix is still the same with new improved baffles and catcon.
Power will increase as this would probably be a dohc unit. So i am expecting upwards of 40ps of power with smoother delivery.
Check this extended version of the video after the 1:10 mark, where the bottom of the bike is shown, no catcon is visible below, it seems they have moved it inside the exhaust can.
