Do you have any link? I thought in India regular fuel is 87RON..
Dont know about shell much, i fill at IOC or hp . Ioc is my preferred fuel and i never fill speed or extra premium. Plain jain regular petrol i don't spoil my bike.
All regular fuel sold accross india is ron91 , one grade up is obvious 91 with additives.
But i still prefer regular and simple.
Bike is happy no jerks, jhatkas etc, shell doesn't have very big presence here in Delhi ncr.

it is the byproduct of the combustion, in cold engine and exhaust the water exits, when exhaust is hot it evaporate. The drain hole on the bottom of exhaust is given for this purpose , and this water aslo means that the engine is running on perfect mixture.

Sir, you have visited shell's UK website. This may not hold true in India.

What I did was bleed the brake oil a bit and introduced some play for the lever.
I use front to stop because physics is greater than any knowledge gained during the ride.
Try to bleed the rear brake system and see if it works.
What I don't understand is, why the Dominar owners have been so dependent on rear brake?
Either the jump is from 125/150cc bike which had rear drum brakes or the reliance on the rear brakes and bike riding techniques have been from the scooter age.
While the braking mechanisms might differ between bikes, what we can utilise is the physics of braking and traction.

And by braking mechanism i mean the build quality and material of different manufacturers.

Has anyone used this before on their dominar or any other bike ?
It's carbon cleaner. To be used every 3000 km once. Full the tank and empty the whole bottle in tank, that's it.
My friend is going to use this on his Yamaha R15 V2.
On bottle it says it will clean the engine parts removing the carbon deposits.
Should I try it with my dominar ?

Thanks sanjeet286. Do you have information if they accept if tyre has punchures in it. Coz when i asked local MRF dealer he said if you have punchure thy wont replace.

This weekend i'll surly check with the MRF faast in Indiranagar.

Second service done yesterday.. Sai service at Pune..

Well, had a bad experience as I had given my ride at 9:30am in the morning and till 7pm it wasn't serviced.. I was waiting there from 5:45pm to 6:45pm just to know that it was washed and Teflon coated... I did not leave my ride alone with them since then, followed it inside the workshop too and helped them to do stuffs as well..
Things done-
1. Teflon coat (Just wanted to finish this Jopasu Ultracoat thing I purchased, I'm planning to get a 9H one and do it myself)
2. Chain slider clamp (I told them I know about it and so it was not missed... Ijs [emoji14] )
3. Oil + Filter Change + 2nd filter cleaning + 3rd filter draining only
I use Motul 7100 10w50 (Life is around 5k).
Now the best part here, I asked them to remove the body below and open the bolt to drain the oil from 3rd filter.. They didn't know about it .. One guy heading there said, "carbon gets accumulated blah blah.. You don't have to do it..". I actually forced them to open up, it was a learning for them so they did ("Customer has asked, do it we will know what it is", this was a statement I lip read when they were discussing in a low voice).. They didn't know what's gonna come out when we loosen up that bolt.. I told them it's engine oil, that's when they bought a container to hold it off..
4. Push plugs for the headlamp body, one of them fell somewhere during my trip..
5. SVC guy greased the battery terminals
6. Chain slack adjustment (They said they did, I'm yet to check as I was in a hurry to notice the sound coming)
7. Chain cleaning + Lubing
Now they messed this part big time.. They did the cleaning with diesel but that was used by a 100 others and black as tar, they didn't give time to dry and lubed.. Lubed but not sufficient, gear shifting is rough.. Saturday I will have to clean up the mess they did with my chain, swing arm, RIM and lube it as well.. That was a set off after all the delay..
8. Clutch cable adjustment

Since I didn't trust them to do things right and toy around, I was there all the time.. I left with my ride at 8pm... Bill Rs. 208/-

Now a question to anyone, do we add any engine smoothing agent oil along with engine oil? They told me it's optional and costed around Rs. 130/-.. I forgot to add it so am asking, do we really need it..?
3) same issue for me too. Had to force my SC guys to open and clean it. Though I vaguely remember that they had refilled fresh oil and then opened up the engine cowl area to clean this filter. Is oil expected to come out when you open this 3rd oil filter?

Oil smoothing agent - Khivraj Marathalli (Bajaj) also asked me (3M brand) but I said no. I'm changing my oil at 5k interval so don't think this will have a big effect. Plus many fellow Domi owners don't use it.
Wind in my hair.... and I'm semi bald...

Wonder how Bajaj haven't trained their own service center guys

But in-spite of KTM guys knowing it they usually skip that part as they are LAZY since they have take the pain of removing the whole underbelly panel in case of RC200/390 (in my case RC390) and engine cowl in case naked 200/390.

I had forced the same to do on my bike when they had skipped it, they try to argue "Sir oil will not be more than 50-100ml it won't matter it's fine etc etc", in the end I forced them eventually (I am pretty much sure he was scolding and cursing me deep inside the whole time he was doing it).
While I'm sure Laziness is always there, I don't think SCs have any specialist dominar techs anymore. Hence these 'special' requests will not be known to them.

Right way to check the oil level:

Start the engine have a small round let it warm up. Then shut it off and wait for 2 minutes , straightened the bike let the oil settle then check. This is called warm level check

Using higher Octane fuel at say every 3 tank fill is ok. In fact using higher Octane fuel a regular compression engine can results in pre combustion or combustion failure.

On the injectors cleaner , you can use any good brand like stp, liqymoli etc at say 10kms or more.
Shell Vpower is also 91 octane sir. Shell has cnnfirmed that they add additives (their secret formula:-D) to the normal fuel and sell it as Vpower.
