Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
hello, can you or someone can help me with mileage calculation, i filled my tank up to the brim now. petrol bars are full. calculation is till the last bar or when that last petrol bar is also till nil? i mean all 8bar gone or till 7bar. i reseted my trip 2 meter as soon as i got the the tank filledOriginally posted by Unforgiv3n biker View PostOdo at 1854km, still following the run-in, cruising at 70-90kmph.
Will be done with 2k on Monday, as I'll be returning home from Mysuru.
Bike has performed extremely well during the trip. Was getting mileage of 29-32 before first service. Getting 35-36kmpl now.
I would recommended following the run-in. I hope that recommended run-in procedure gives better mileage.
Cheers.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
HI Guys,
I'm getting a weird sound around the black fibre portion of the secondary console when the bike is @4k rpm, I know its because of the vibration. Is any one having the similar issue. When I put my hand on the console with some pressure the noise is lost. Any work around..?
Another doubt I have is the fuel meter. when it's has 1 Bar, how much litre of petrol is remaining... If it's starts blinking or there is no Bar, is that means it has only minimum of 3 litre of petrol ?

Nice mods on the bike. It would be great if you can share which wrap are you planning to put up. As I checked out 3M and they said on white bike after 2-3 months the film would appear yellowish.Originally posted by vengalabdj View PostHi guys, I have done a few things to my dominar. I'll also be wrapping the bike in few weeks time. Looking forward to it.
List of minor cosmetic changes on my dominar:
1)Removed saree guard
2)Removed lower mud guard
3)White Rim stripes
4)Black tank decals
5)Smoked indicators
6)Matte/Shiny vinyl on windscreen ( as it was very prone to scratches)

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
in my review the DRL( daytime runnung light ) are not a negative it actually due to bright sunlight the light visibility of this leds are great so it makes other noticiable but we should shift to dipper light when there is late evening or so because drls are in upper way to the eye and illuminate the whole way nearby and people opposite to the vehicle might complain. i do find people telling me by making few hand actions " light on hai".i feel its a safety. i heard that all the vehicle would be getting drls and aho as necessary in upcoming generation of vehicles including 4wheeler.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Im thinking of wrapping it Matte Black. With maybe red or gold accents here and there. The shiny black parts will be "carbon fibre" vinyl. Will have to see how it turns out.Originally posted by M faizan View PostNice mods on the bike. It would be great if you can share which wrap are you planning to put up. Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
same issue with lots of dominar around. vibration of some part even i hear in front of tank nearby. but it just gets low during service and change of engine oil. but i feel its some fitment screw tightness needed which they do in service. even i have a doubt about the last petrol bar and the reserve part...Originally posted by Ashik Ajith View PostHI Guys,

Bro, some small item might have gone into the secondary console gap. Thats the main problem. Call the service centre and they'll fix it.Originally posted by cgassassin View Postsame issue with lots of dominar around. vibration of some part even i hear in front of tank nearby. but it just gets low during service and change of engine oil. but i feel its some fitment screw tightness needed which they do in service. even i have a doubt about the last petrol bar and the reserve part...
As for the petrol, it will have 3ltrs after it starts blinking.

Ride till maybe last 2 bars.
Then fill up again.
Kms ridden/no. of liters in second fill up= mileage.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Yeah but dont run your bike on reserve. The manual recommends that there must be atleast 3ltrs in the tank at all times. Donno why but rather be safe than sorryOriginally posted by cgassassin View Postit starts blinking from the last bar(8th bar) that means from there 3liters.
