IMHO It's 6months, irrespective of which type of oil it is. Oil once poured in, starts to degrade.

Alternatively, one could periodically keep comparing the oil against a new bottle for the feel of the viscosity, rubbing the oil with your fingers (thumb and index). This will give fair idea.

    Thanks

So if you are on mineral or ss, whether you use the vehicle or not, ideally it needs to be replaced every 6 months min. 1 yr period can be considered for fs oils.

Any decent bike mechanic will be able to do this (2 size allen keys required which I believe are included in the tool kit). It is a 10 minute procedure. Just remember the positions of the washers.

If you feel your clutch stretching when turning the handle completely to the left (after installing the risers), shift the clutch assembly a lil to the right (5-7 mm) and that should work fine unless you want to install a longer clutch cable.

I own the 2018 version. The engine oil on my bike was a mess at 5k Km, rough and with shavings. I shifted to the motul 7100. Has been running good so far.

Yup. Though fs doesn't degrade that soon. For those who use their vehicles for few 1000 kms a year, fs is ideal.

            Hello guys,

Anyone with a Dominar 2019 used any saddle bags with/without a saddle stay. I have a Via Terra Leh used on the TB 350, but doubt it can be used on the 2019 due to the upswept exhaust.

I prefer to change it at 6months interval motul 7100. My running has been around 1.5-2K per 6 months. Gives me peace of mind.

I have noticed viscosity drop in comparison to the same (100ml) oil remaining in the bottle.

              P.S: D200 requires 1.4L and buy 1.5L can.

              Thanks

Go with the assumption that you need to fill it every 250-300kms, and not till the last drop.

While riding long distances, I always start with a full tank, ride and then refuel when it reaches 2 bars. Then refuel to full tank, and the litres put in and the Kms travelled gives me my mileage.

And while it may day UNUSEABLE, I know of domis who have filled 12ltrs once, which means their tank was really low on fuel. Anything lower and it risks your fuel pump.

Its mentioned that dominar has a tank capacity of 13L.
Its also says that 3L of UNUSABLE fuel for Fi pump
So is it true that we are only getting an actual of 10L tank usable fuel?
So if we get an average milage of say 30kmpl

                What will the tank range?
                1)10*30=300km
                2)13*30=390km

                Please help me out?
Wind in my hair.... and I'm semi bald...

Iam planning to change to Motul 7100 10W50 since the service centre near me has shut down and the original dominar oil was available there. Local stores have it but iam not sure its the same oil. I hear good things about the 7100.

                    Hello everyone,

I want to buy a new pair of tyres. But I can't decide.

There are only few options in my country:

                    - Pirelli Angel City
                    - Mitas Sportforce +
                    - Michelin Pilot Power 2CT
                    - Michlein Pilot Street
                    - Metzeler Sportec Street
                    - Metzeler Sportec M5

I need good wet & dry grip. I'm not a racer or something like that I don't do high speeds. I like cornering though. What I really need is safety.

                    Thanks!

Go with motul 7100 without any doubt, bajaj doesn't have any special oil for dominar, it's the same oil which they use for all their performance oriented bikes.

The more i ride this bike the more i am in a love hate relationship with it. The constant buzz at handlebar and footpegs as low as 3-4k rpm just takes the fun out of this bike for me. Along with it the stiffer suspension setup for cities as per my taste. Everything else is love.

Taking it for first service tomorrow. Bajaj SVC in-charge has said they can fix the vibes. Lets see if they can really do that. Or else it’s absolutely a mood breaker for me and i might take it up seriously as an issue with Bajaj.
You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

Same problem vibration that peaks only betwen 3-4k rpm? Any solution.

Bro are you nuts..dont go for an exhaust modification in dominar..it will seriously impact the performance and mileage..also keep in mind revving the bike hard most often results in head gasket failure or other problems..its not designed for racing its a hyper touring machine.

My question is Which exhaust would make Domi sound like inline 2 at least and if not just in general which exhaust will be best sounding for it? (I like the way the stock one's sound but still I feel there's less excitement riding with it, just my feelings[emoji1694])

Also will it void warranty? (I've rode 600kms only)

                              Thank you!

But I did it and its been a week... didn't find much performance difference mostly because i didn't remove the Catalytic convertor and just slip it on... my conclusion is its sounding best among any single cylinder bike but its bad while in slow speeds and does sound like a 150cc bike just with more bass (its not that amusing) but on fast speed it definitely sound Awesome (for anyone, no it will no sing like 2/3/4 cylinder bikes) and its loud as hell... but for real it is just an hobby to me to make changes and learn new things (it excites me alot) and honestly I'll change it back to stock one which i loved much more. Thanks for replying bro! I promise to not rev her much [emoji1591]
