Spray Chain cleaner spray / diesel / kerosene on the chain, leave it for 5-10 minutes. Brush it with any brush then again spray more cleaner.Originally posted by Prasad98 View PostCan anyone help this newbie here with cleaning his chain and sprocket?

Clean it using old rags or cloth pieces. Clean until you are satisfied. Do it when bike is switched off.
Let it dry.
Now spray chain lube 'from the upper side of chain going to the front sprocket'.
Do not under or overlube it.
Done !

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I have done 1800+ till today and for not once the engine has overheated. This includes multiple 120-130 kms rides but under 6k rpms. If the heat is alarmingly high, check the oil levels, leakage in the oil cooler and your riding style. Go easy on her. If she still overheats, go straight to the dealership.Originally posted by Praveen Malempati View PostHello Folks,
I entered in to the FZ25 Club yesterday. Enjoying the FZ25 ride.
But I have observed that engine is heating after rididng 10 KM continuosly.
Is this common since my odo reading is ~60 KM.
Please help me over here...

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Yamaha don't have any option other than giving foolish reasons like this one.. I have used Ns200 also.. that bike have disc brake at rear also.. but I didn't face pad issue in ns200... So this reason is not acceptable if I have used disc brake bikes before.. I know very well how to use disc brakes.. Yamaha Gave me this reason when I had gone to Change my disc pads first time at 4 k km.. again now, they r giving same reason.. bcoz they don't have any clue other than thatOriginally posted by manishh View PostAs it turned out, rear brake pad wearing out is a known issue and Yamaha has informed service centers about the steps to be taken.
Please see the image I have attached that I found in my Google image search.

Heating on the new engine is common... mine is just 290km old... i do feel the heat when in traffic, but the heat dissapears in open roads... nothing to worry about.Originally posted by Praveen Malempati View PostHello Folks,

Get the position of the pedal changed. It helped for my friend. His second brake pad has lasted some 8k kms with 50% life still left.Originally posted by Abhishell12 View PostYamaha don't have any option other than giving foolish reasons like this one.. We can't help you if you don't believe this fact. It is not a "foolish" reason.

Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Just finished the second service at 1890 kms on the odo. Also, they did not have the Yamaha lube for fz25 in stock so they put in the Yamaha sporty premium plus the oil filter. Air filter was cleaned. Bike has become much smoother, obviously. Till now I have been limited her running below 6k rpms but today I will definitely open her up as I'm leaving for a 120 kms ride in a couple of hours. She will definitely cross the 2k kms milestone today and I will rip her up after that 😎😎. Also the only minor complaint I have is minor squeaks and weak rear brakes. The masseter is a boon. Overall very happy with the bike.

Wow! Quite a thing to say about a century old company that is a dominant force in Motogp and has one of the most advanced motorcycles in the world. I never have faced rear-brake issues in my 5200 kms life. This whole thing is an issue of perception. People want instant bite from the rear brake without understanding that it would surely cause the rear wheel to lock. No wonder Pulsars are the biggest killers on Indian roads.Originally posted by Abhishell12 View PostYamaha don't have any option other than giving foolish reasons like this one.. Re: Yamaha FZ 25 Owners Reviews and Experiences
[QUOTE=JyotishmanS;1333421]Completely in agreement with you... I am very new with this bike and i can already relate to the breaking character of the bike.. its pretty much the same as the drum breaks i had in my older FZS.. I am happy with it ... it reduces the need for ABS and with correct technique bike stops well in with the limit. When i see the complaints on break pad issues my gut feel says its coz of riding the break and not the bad quality...Originally posted by Abhishell12 View PostYamaha don't have any option other than giving foolish reasons like this one..
