I did a very simple and effective mod. I went to my local seat maker, cut small belt like strips of art leather and wrapped them on my handlebar. Very grippy and looks super cool.

i went to Yamaha world today for test ride and price quotation for fz25. they didn't have an test ride vehicle today but got prices.

they are charging 1,23,100rs ex-showroom price and another 1700rs for handling along with 3860 for insurance and 9160 for RTO. but according to yamaha website the
ex-showroom price should be 1,19,835/- for chhatisgarh. where can i complain against it ?

Write an email to Yamaha. It's available online.

Rather Invest in good gloves. They serve a better purpose than grip covers.

Check for ex-showroom price on Yamaha website for your location. These are inclusive of GST.

Rs 1700 is bogus for handling charges and these must not be charged to the customer.
Insurance looks fine, however, verify if its Nil Dep.

Road Tax you can calculate based your RTO charges.

You don't need to wait for Yamaha. Question the dealer and tell them that you have informed Yamaha on it.

i just wanted to make sure that i do not miss the free service window if it goes above 1000km in less than 60 days .
                    1050 KM is fine.
Majority of the SVCs take it with out any problem.

I have booked my Fz25 yesterday, upon discussing VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) with the dealer, he told that for year 2018 Alphabet "J" has been allotted. As we all know that 10th digit of VIN is year of production and for year 2017 alphabet "H" was allotted, so ideally 2018 should be "I"

                      can anyone confirm this?

Did my first, longish stretch of triple digit speeds. 14.7 kms to be precise, between 95 and 100 kph. The bike was butter-smooth and it felt very easy to handle. At one point, on a wide, particularly empty stretch, even 100 kph felt unhurried. Only one thing, the rpm meter was showing one bar less after stopping at idle, for quite sometime. Could anyone point out a reason?

Engine is hot. ECU adjust AF ratio to lean, so rpm reduces.

So nothing to be bothered about, is it? Could recent engine oil change at second service be also a reason?

That’s quite normal. If you live in a hot climate you’ll observe the same.

Not exactly a hot climate (Guwahati), but thanks for the information.
