Anyone using any adjustable windscreen? MRA RNB is bit costly, so thinking of getting this: Universal Street Bike for Harley for Yamaha 7/8" & 1" Handlebar Mount Motorcycle MT 03 07 09 10 Windshield Windscreen Windscherm

      Many factors cause this problem,

      1. Tyre pressure, more the pressure less friction and therefore slippery. I normally keep 2 or 3 psi lower than the recommendation during monsoon.
      2. Road condition, if the road is unclean then it will be slippery. If there are too much of sand or water log will cause the problem.
      3. Tyres it self, if lower psI doesn't work , then it's Better to change tyres that are good for dry and wet run.

With regards to filling air, I fill nitrogen for my FZS once in a month. My recommendation is 28 and 33, normally it will come down to 25 and 28 in summer.

I met with accident 2 times and both are in wet conditions only. Now I am not able to exceed 50kmph on this bike in wet conditions. My pulser 180 braking is better than fz25.

I think its more of the issue with tyre. Thought the material compound is on the softer side, i doubt the thread pattern not able to channel out the water. This could be another reason for too much splash from rear tyre. I have also noticed the front tyre pattern in FZ is reversed compared to the typical front pattern. If iam not wrong the rear and front shall have patterns in opposite direction, this also helps in taking the braking force which will act in the opposite direction.

          EDIT:

When did Yamaha increase the price to Rs 1,23,543 ? I thought the price was 1.2L.
Now Yamaha is saying there is a saving of 3K

So basically from above comments I got this...

Steam coming out of engine is normal during rains..

Can't do much about the rust...

Ride slow in rain.. and keep tyre psi bit low..

Motul is not a bad option..

Cause of all problems.. it's not the bike.. it's the rain 🙄🙄🙄

People and dealers will say price a little less. But anyway on road price here in Delhi increased by 2k even when the ex-showroom was reduced by 1k. There is change in road tax slab. I'm glad i made the purchase before GST. The old price mentioned for delhi is accurate, same is mentioned in my invoice.

              • Advice regarding Fz25

                Hello everyone
It's been a while since i wanted to get a new bike ,for a little touring on weekends and mostly daily commutes . Fz25 seems like a really good bike that suits my needs . It has the milage ,power and Yamaha reliability. But misses out on one important aspect , the safety net of ABS . I considerd CBR 250 abs or atleast getting a used one ,since they got discontinued . But due to shimming issue of its engine , getting a used one might be risky. So I was wondering if you all could give me your opinion regarding "waiting for fz25 abs" . Since , our government is going to make abs/CBS mandatory in 2018 . I was thinking it's only just a few more months of waiting for something that could someday save my life , when I ride fast . I had faced rear locking up and sliding out a few times ( due to sudden breaking ) but never fallen but the situation of loosing control like that isn't what I want in a bike . So here's what I would like to your opinions on ; fz25 abs varient price , possibility of fazer25 going to be launched with abs and simultaneous release of fz25 (probably with a new paint scheme lol) , possibility of it being released before April,2018. Thank you all for input and sharing your opinions . Really appreciate it . Arigato in advance !!!☺️

During launch the Ex-showroom price was 1.19L and in between Yamaha increased to 1.23L. Because of this ultimately for Yamaha there is no reduction in price, whatever they claim 'saving' due to GST is nothing but the price they increased in between.

Actually my doubt is about the Ex-showroom price.Because thats where Yamaha claim to be as savings.

This looks good but can't really say how far this will withstand the wind.

Can not confirm the accuracy though. Will check if needed, I have quotation both pre and post GST.

This is good enough even a generic chain lube would do fine. Motul ia good but highly overrated.
