They told me that i should come to sc after 1K km done as it was when i purchased bike.
They told four wheels were better then two.

Could you be a little precise, please. Why did they ask you to come back 1k km later, for the extended warranty or?

      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

      THE END

because on tft will be 1st service alert (1000km) like on brand new bike. Then they will reset.

Guys I'm shifting to Mumbai from Gurgaon for a few months at the very least. If I move the Duke390 to the place, how long can I run it on an HR registration, and if I can't do it for that long a period, what is the process and costs involved to change it to MH?

Also, who makes these dumb rules of having to re-register your vehicle any time you want to move within your OWN country?

Welcome to Indian RTO process. [emoji28]
Get NOC from Gurgaon RTO before you move to Mumbai. I believe you can get that cancelled once you move back to Gurgaon.
You'll need to produce that NOC, fill forms to pay tax in Mumbai.

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

Went on for the 3rd service today. The oil quantity has been increased from 1500ml to 1650 ml.
Looks like it has been increased to make it visibile on the oil window based on the complaints recieved.

was the oil level checked with bike on level ground ? i.e. without any stand(side or paddock).
having excess qty might end up causing blowby to collect in air-filter/crank case drain pipe, i'd recommend stick to max 1.5 +- 50ml during a drain/filter change/refill routing.

I asked the SA the same, but he said they recieved a recent circular to increase the oil quantity level.
They confirmed that it is official.

Been there done that, my two cents if you don't have ample amount of time and money to spend in multiple RTO offices.
                          1) You can try your luck by riding around MH with a valid PUC from GUR, as long as you keep getting the PUC from your home state. You can pretty much say to cops that moved very recently if you do ever get caught. (Cons - Insurance claims, court fines like DUI accidents you are basically at at 50-50 luck, some might work and some won't)

                          2) If you are really having to move for a long time to another state then sell the bike in your current state, buy a new one in your new state. (Depreciation amount will be equal to the new road tax and all other fees explained below if you try to transfer the bike)

Reason being the haggle of travelling back and forth to both state RTO for Hypothecation cancellation, NOC, paying new road tax in new state, applying for a tax refund in your old state (might take upto 6months, sometime you might not get it atall due to lazy RTO people).

If you include all the fees, agent commission, paper work, notary lawyer fee, traffic police clearance fee/bribes, travelling to MH<->GUR 4-5 times during the whole process (not calculating the cost of stay hotel etc in GUR whenever you need to visit there for 2 days to get the RTO stuff done, assuming you still have a place to stay in GUR excluding this cost)

If the same bike model is still available in the market the blindly do the 2) option, sell this one, get a new one. Yes, I know it will be painful, but all thanks to our RTO and Government rules.

Do the whole haggle of transferring ownership if and only if the same model bike is no longer in production and you want to carry forward the bike with you or it's an antique model, only then going through whole process justifiable(cases only where sentimental and emotional values are more important than the time and money spent).

                            Hi all,

Does anyone have an idea of what this pipe is...? Looks like it is just hanging down and connected to some outlet under the tank. I am not sure I have noticed it before but I have a feeling that it might be out of place .

Thanks in advance Click image for larger version

donot remove it. Has to be either a tank breather hose or fuel overflow outlet.

I bent my front tyre rim today. 😐. Was on a state way and but made a mistake of following a car in its middle and suddenly there was a pothole. I was going at 60 kmph and heard a thud sound. Continued riding for another 8 kms before stopping to check for damages and found the front rim ever so slightly bent. Searched more for damages and found nothing and the tyre pressure remained constant. Bike is just 1.5 month old and i feel bad that it bent on a small pot hole. Anything alarming that i should take care of ? After the incident ,during my 8 km ride ,i didn't find any difference in riding ,no wobbles ..it was normal through
