    Hello,

I have recently noticed oil leakage in the left side of the Engine. Bike has done 13k+ on the odo. Anything alarming ? Please suggest.

    Thanks,
Doesn't look like a massive spill to cause a discomfort bhai.
Get it washed and apply a sealant that is used by Royal Enfield. That sealant stops oil leaks from a RE, it can stop oil leak in a WW 2 era fighter plane too. [emoji16]

      Thank you

I was planning for a visit to SVC. Can anyone let me know if this can be fixed under warranty ?

        Thanks,
You have a mild weep from the gear position sensor wire outlet that exits. If your bike is under warranty, yes this is rectified under warranty. They'd apply a sealant around the lip of the rubber boot and let it you're all set. Though, I'd strongly recommend you to wash your bike, looks like your bike could use one, at least from the looks of it. Before you wash, take photos of the leak area to keep it as a handy proof just in case you want to document your evidence.

Rest assured, this will be covered under warranty and is a minor issue. Keep your observations posted.

        Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        THE END

Generally my advice is to go to the shop and check it for fit and comfort.

I had great fun while bringing it home and apart from that never had time to ride properly and my office is only 4-5 kms away with huge traffic (OMR, Chennai). No option but to ride slow and on lower gears in traffic.

Took it for a small ride last night on roads with less traffic and boy !!!!, this is super fun . Did not cross 6-7k rpm but had good time. I used to ride my friend's FZ 25 and now this , i can feel huge difference (pickup, rpm , tft [emoji14] ) ...but in slow , B2B traffic or slow moving traffic , i did not feel comfortable at all.. dont know if my riding is poor or throttle cable's free play , bike under 3 - 3.5 k rpm is not smooth , this should be normal judging by the comments in this thread (higher displacement with single cylinder bike). But as someone said , bike jumps like a rabbit [emoji14] at lower rpms . will this change after 1st service ?? or may be i should get used to this ?

And radiator fan is irritating , heat is manageable and did not feel much.

Definitely a head turner ..i am so happy to buy ktm duke 390 2018 as my first bike :P. And thank you all for writing your problems , opinions here ..followed this thread for a year and helped me a lot in deciding to go for this over duke 250, FZ 25 & dominor 400

                  Pictures are attached.
Congrats on the bike bro !

Looks like Adayar KTM. They had a customer meet-up to explain the extended warranty details. By any chance did you attend it ?

I am planning to install tail tidy and hazard lights.
By any chance does it void warranty?

Tail tidy - most likely not.
                        Hazard lights - yes.

if you want to do any type of electrical mods, don't cut any stock wires and make it removable. so that when something goes wrong, you can just remove your mods before going to service centre for warranty claims.

Has anyone installed traction control system on the new duke390??
                          Is it worth it?

You need it? I think bike gives pretty good feedback. Must try really hard to lose traction.

No no its not like that...since the bike has ride by wire throttle its possible to add traction control so that's y asked. Aslo traction control is a good thing na
