Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Correct me if i am wrong but I think the DRL setting will work post 1000 kms or with the next software update that reminds me I believe it is v39 which is the latest now.. That's what I have on bike which I picked up 3 days ago..Originally posted by nikkswest View PostHey guys I am trying to turn off the DRL in the settings, the display shows OFF but the lights are still on.
Anyways facing this issue?Ride HARD but Ride SAFE
Cheers !!

If you are referring to the headlight being on then yes, even if you turn off DRL, the headlights will be on.I think this has been made as mandatory from 2017 onwards.Originally posted by nikkswest View PostHey guys I am trying to turn off the DRL in the settings, the display shows OFF but the lights are still on.

I have the V39, and I thought that the 1000km restriction was only for the Shift lights.Originally posted by Javed Basheer View PostCorrect me if i am wrong but I think the DRL setting will work post 1000 kms or with the next software update that reminds me I believe it is v39 which is the latest now.. Okay. Got it. Thanks.Originally posted by chip94 View PostIf you have DRL=ON, the middle section will light up. If you have DRL=OFF, by default Low Beam will switch on. There's no way you can shut off the lights completely.
Got confused about the AHO mode behaviour.Last edited by nikkswest; 06-19-2017, 02:30 PM.

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
well then everybody should be riding a 100cc motorcycleOriginally posted by prashnagpal View PostFinally got to test ride the 390 & 250 today. My opinion: 390 is definitely not a bike to be used in the city by any chance. I mean bumper to bumper. If ones usage is 65% + city use then my suggestion would be dont even consider the 390
. probably takes same time for a guy on a 100cc and a guy on a 1000cc to go from home-office-home in our traffic.

Hi Rejitee,Originally posted by rejitee View PostHi all,
I finished my D390's 1st service last day. Covered 450km's on the prior Sunday in a stretch heading Mcity-Pondy-Chidambaram-Pondy-ECR-Guindy-Mcity.

The ride was so awesome. There was no bad things to talk about actually, except the close calls with 2 holy Cows on ECR.
The flickering issue of headlamp was present through out, but the sc guy has told me he will fix it on the first service time.
I gave it for service and they changed the Headlamp assy. & flashed the software again. Finished the service and got my Sonic(d390) back last day.
No more issues left. All cool for rides now.
Ready to explore some new routes this weekend. Thinking which way to go and keeping in mind, no more 6500rpm/105kmph barrirers

Happy riding everyone..
Just a query with headlight flickering part, by flickering do you mean the 2 second of the cut off that all guys are facing and from which service center did you get your bike serviced?
TIA

Don't know I think it's quite individual, I tried all the 3 but 390 was just overpowering, it felt to good that the other two didn't even register as rides in the mind, just one ride and you are soldOriginally posted by prashnagpal View Post250 is a superb machine for city use but it is way too highly priced in comparison to fz250 even considering the difference in power & other stuff. Just wanted to share my opinion as i have been considering these 2 since a few months.main aur meri motorcycle, aksar yeh batein kartey hain....

Actually FZ 25 doesnt offer much and hence price tag is ok. If you consider FZ with all the goodies that D250 has, then one can assume how much it would cost considering the current pricing for simple tech.Originally posted by prashnagpal View Post250 is a superb machine for city use but it is way too highly priced in comparison to fz250 even considering the difference in power & other stuff.
