I got the carb Dual disc Abs variant. Abs is mandatory but dealers are still selling the non abs versions they are having in their inventory.
And about matte black colour, it isn't being offered here in India yet.

Ideally what speeds should I maintain during the break in period of the vehicle?

              It's fine, till 500 Kms (i.e 1st service) maintain 4K RPM.

Successfully switched to MOTUL 20w50 FS oil ! Although had read many reviews and research none were helpful.

ODO as of now : 13626.5 Kms

After a few Kms , changes were noticeable.

The shifts are perfect and engine noise seems reduced. I hope my drivechain isn't clean. Orelse the result would've been much more evident.

Will update after the weekend ride.

Guys.. what should be the ideal Tyre pressure to be maintained for Front n rear wheel? Tyre pressure for me was filled by SVC guys during 2nd service. SVC guy said he had filled 25psi for front wheel and 35psi for rear wheel. I was told to check Tyre pressure every week.

95% of my commute is on Highways and I commute 350-380 kms per week. So After a week i checked the Tyre pressure in local Petrol Bunk. To my surprise the petrol bunk guy told the pressure is already 30-32psi in front wheel and 40-42psi in rear wheel. So i asked him to leave it as it is.

Checked again after a week and it was still in the same range. I'm confused here because the tyre pressure might naturally reduce after a week's ride of 300-400kms right? So what should be the right pressure to be filled. Share your thoughts on this.

Note : Mine is dual disc variant.

                    No gimmicks !!!

Just always ensure that the air pressure is as recommended by the owner's manual.

Overfilling will cause improper/ premature wear of tread in the tyre (significantly tyre life will reduce ), loss of traction control and tyre bumps which is also a riskier factor.

Guys I am looking for aftermarket replacement chain and sprockets for RTR 160 4v. Any suggestions for direct fit parts with same specifications like number of sprocket teeth and chain length? But hopefully more heavy duty with thicker parts.

My current chain has got 2 or 3 stuck (frozen) links and this is affecting smoothness. Chain has uneven slackness as well probably due to stuck links always in bend position. Despite regular cleaning and lubing I dont understand why I got stuck links. Otherwise I dont see much wear on sprockets and chain is not excessively stretched or anything like that. I wonder if it is a manufacturing defect that lubing under somerollers were not proper? Otherwise could be that one time when SVC over-tightened my chain and I realized it after riding about 100 kms. Anyway please suggest good aftermarket replacement.

I think sprocket kit's life is somewhere around 20K Kms and if the chain slackness/ smoothness you're mentioning as the concern ,I Hope it can be resolved.

Only Change the sprocket kit if its totally worn (i.e) when the teeths became sharp and spiky then there need the replacement.

*Coming to sprocket sizes I hope rear is 41T you can check it .For the front I'm not sure.

I am specifically concerned about 2 or 3 stiff links which remain slightly bent even when chain is straight (midway between 2 sprockets). Rollers are rotating fine. It looks like stiff links are tight at the O-rings, most probably because the connecting pins may be too tight or bent. Because of the bent stiff links chain slack is not uniform. This will inherently cause vibrations and reduce smoothness of drive. This is the first time I have such issue in my riding life, I have seen umpteen worn out sprockets, over stretched loose chains etc.

If so,then you can go for aftermarket sprocket kit. I can't check the sprocket size right now. You can simply see both sides of the sprocket .I hope the size (Tooth) is mentioned there. For reaching the front sprocket, you should open the cover which has 3 (*) screws.

No need to change sprockets. Just change the chain and you should be fine. The front is 13t and the rear is 45t sprocket. It is .428 spec.

If you want to try a different option, you can try Apache 200 chain and sprocket set. It also has 13t and 45t sprockets but of .520 spec.

I'd say better not to change the sprocket size as it'll affect the speedo and odo reading.
