The bike will leave no stone unturned considering the fun factor.
Handles like a charm. How many kms have you covered ? The engine gets smoother & smoother with time. During Run-in there were a bit of vibrations. Now though they are a lot less. On the highways i ride between 60-80 & the ride is fun fun & only fun. No i have not named it. Have you ?.

    Regards
    Alex

    @Devakumar
Never faced such an issue bro. I do not think the kick stick is long enough to get stuck at the rear brake pedal. @Rahul.g the bike is fun to ride till 100-105. I did a lane change at 132kmph & i felt as if i was flying for 2 seconds. There was a loss of traction i suppose. It scared the shit out of me.
I have done only a 1000km. But out of that thousand only first 600km were normally ridden. 400km on highways ripping the engine. Did 100+ speeds multiple times and cruised at 80-90kmph many times too. The engine is so strong and it's uber smooth now except while dragging in first gear to 20kmph. I christened mine as Sasha :P and there is a thread called 'showcase your ride here' . Go show off your matte black RTR there :P

Yesterday I tried to do a new top speed run before the free stretch of roads ended. On the first try I was doing 104kmph and I was so tucked onto the bike. I had wind blowing from my right. The bike just wobbled (exactly like how you described. flying for seconds :P :P) and it was also running on little cracked roads. It was so shocking and I slowed asap. Next I tried for 4 other times and it was like a bullet. Steady and quick. Open roads ended soon and I couldn't hit a new top speed.

      Hey everyone!

New guy here! Just got Delivery of my Matte Black 180 (Darth Vader) on the 18th, and I've covered 193 kms so far.
Still need to get some Decent gear, 'cus This packs some serious Potential!

I Have an issue to be addressed.
When i got delivery of the Bike, and they were starting it up for me, It started with a Choppy Idle and some White-ish smoke, and every time I let go of the Throttle, I hear Popping Sounds.
I'm no expert, but isn't it running a little rich?

I didn't really care a lot about the mileage during this running In period, but my calculations say it's at 25ish. Thats's not normal is it?
      Replies would really be Helpful!
      Thanks.

        Thanks.

The popping sound is usually due to lean mixture. Check the spark plug tip after you run another 200km, if it is whitish in colour then it is running lean, if it is black then its running rich. Also, variable idling indicates lean mixture. But the only sure shot test is the colour of spark plug.
Just ignore the mileage part till you are done with 2nd service..

Try the top speed test after completing the 2nd service. Bike will perform better and stay healthy too. Hitting top speed in a thousand kilometer run bike is little bothersome.

              Thanks.
Popping souns will arise when the engine is new . You will hear phut phut types. There are many reasons for this.
              1. Engine & exhaust parts are new.
              2. Bike has not warmed up sufficiently.
              3. Lean air fuel mixture.
The 3rd case is a rare one.
By the way. Congrats. Enjoy your bike. Do give it a proper run-in.
Dont worry much about the mileage. Even i got 24ish. Just warm up the bike for 2 minutes before riding off. Ur problems will fly away in 2-3 weeks

I already hit a top speed at a small stretch of road when the bike was just 500km old :P :P I tried to better it but there were traffic still. Anyway I hope the same that the bike gets better with second service! Still, didn't you name your bike?

I had my first top speed run at ECR. The other times(mostly weekends) I do it at outer ring road, especially in pallikaranai area before the toll booth :P Interested in a weekend ride? good to see an rtr owner from chennai! and yes, I had my bike wobbling at 100+speed on the same road!

Alright, you do that. I previously mentioned in a post that I had done around a 1000km only.

Chennai Xbhp is very active ! Look into the chennai chapter for rides ! 7 of us from chennai Xbhp including 2 rtrs did a 1.7k kms trip last December ! You can find the trip log here

And do meet us in one of the G2Gs . we would ride somewhere during a weekend ! and BTW stop doing speed runs at ECR . it's not at all safe considering the bad road conditions there now.

It's currently returning about 29 per liter, and I am sort of Happy with that for now. I didn't buy it for the Mileage anyways. :P

I Did once rip it till 7k, 'cus i thought of going for a Motoman Run-in, but i havent touched more than 5k ever since.
Have I done any Irrepairable Harm to the Engine? Or is it allright?

First of all . congrats! the bike looks good ! Matte black looks greyish when you look at it in skin, but the finish is exquisite.
second, Don't do the motoman thing. its for bigger capacity bikes and TVS etc. know their engines and thats why they specify the run-in. best to follow it.

and ripping the engine once a while is even advisable in Run-in, do a 7-8k burst once every hundred KM's or so, but don't stay at high RPM for more than 2-3 seconds, keep changing RPM etc.
I just completed my run-in 2 months back and I steadily received a mileage of 38-42 KM's for city traffic (RTR ABS).

So people do the MotoMan engine breakin in here... Nice to know.

even i did a few short bursts of high RPM on my TB350 during the breakin period. its performing good so far...

                                One question.

Does the small black tube connected to the Fuel return of the Carburetor always leak fluid?
I tried to smell it and it smelt like Petrol.

The SVC guy said its for air. [emoji28]

BTW. And has anyone tried HID kits?
                                Are they worth it?
