By the way my bike did not came with a maintenance free battery 😞
Can you tell me how to maintain a lead acid battery? As I have no idea about maintaining this type of battery.
It's simple. Just make sure the battery water level is between the min and max lines. If particular cell seems low on water, add battery(distilled) water through the top cap and close the cap just as tight as before. Check the levels at regular intervals of one month.

Thanks John. I will surely check the levels at regular intervals.
Can you tell me one thing, I have been starting the bike with ES every time. I have not used the KS so far. Will it drain the battery more?
And I guess the battery is under the seat; right? So, I have to remove the seat. Can you tell me how to remove the seat or give me any resource link for this procedure?

With normal running battery drain should not occur unless electrical are at fault. ES does drain battery more but it will be recharged while running. So no need to worry about it.
For battery location, I'd ask you to check your manual for the info. Read the manual completely. It gives valuable insight about the vehicle..

                Hello all,

I am finding it a little difficult to maintain constant speeds in the 1st & 2nd gears. Either it is revving very fast or not at all. But the 3rd gear is where I am most comfortable. It is very easy to ride the bike at 3rd gear. May be because I am new or is it the case with all RTR's?

                This is my bike guys,

                  Hi,
RTR is my first bike and been riding for about 1.5 years, so you may relate with my experience. I too find that RTR runs smoothly from 3rd gear onwards. 1st and 2nd are quite short.
Actually as per my experience and most RTR owners will agree, that RTR is short geared (1-4 are short) and you reach 5th gear quite faster than other bikes like FZ. Usually I am on 5th gear in almost a 150mtr or so.

I guess I have to shift early in lower gears then. But it will be difficult to ride in traffic then or may be I will get used to it.

But one thing I felt is that the brakes are very good 😃

Yes. It's a PITA in heavy traffic. You have to keep shifting constantly. But if as you get used to it, you can manage without downshifting all the way to first gear. With half clutch you can manage in traffic with 2nd/3rd gear also.

And yes, the brakes are too good. But be careful in panic situations, as brakes can lock faster than other bikes. Master the braking skill as soon as possible. I have myself crashed in the first month due to panic braking.

You will get used to gearshifts soon don't worry.
True that! The brakes are excellent. You did a good job opting for dual disc setup.

The gear ratios on RTR 160 are very short, you will have to get used to it.
Also max torque is generated at a very low 4k rpm, so the the bike pulls from idle to 4k rpm without any effort.
This is very helpful in hilly regions as you dont have to constantly rev the crap out of your motorcycle for it to pull, it pulls with ease even in low rpm.
Its what i experienced last year, some might disagree but i wrote what i experienced.

Thanks for the advice 😊. I am practicing the braking more and changing gears simultaneously.

Thanks buddy 😊. I was apprehensive about the rear disc setup as I am new rider and even the showroom guys discouraged me to take dual discs saying since you are new you will lock up and fall down etc. But the rear disc is very good.
