    No.
Go buy the model which is on sale, the next upgrade will be with the ABS which will bump it's price by 5-8K's, or may be 10.

    • will get the delivery in 2 days.. What all should I check before getting the bike? They have all the colors in stock - but i have seen that the test ride bike is black!! Should I discard black coz of that?

how will I know if the bike has got a teflon coat or not?

What should be the odometer reading.. etc?

will the model with ABS be the only model available in the future?

if you're goin for black and afraid that you may get the same bike used for tds, just note down it's chassis number...it'll help.no need to discard black... teflon coating by the shine and odo will be zero only.even if they'd ridden it earlier, they would've taken care to disconnect the cable...and for the last query,i dont think so.they'd lose out on customers if they do so

        • Average efficiency please

Guys report your average when drivven hard (read above 8000), sanely (between 5000-7000) and overall (4000-6000)

Renny you forgot to mention the very hard category i.e hitting the 12000 mark!
But for your query..If ridden sanely you get around 35-40kmpl(6000 and below)..
And if you intend to go past 9-10k it returns about 30kmpl.
At worst I've seen 25kmpl too!
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

                • What can be done to reduce vibrations in the RTR?

I am looking for some guidelines so that I can start practicing it from day one! Engine oil to be used, specific run in methods? riding position.. Anthing at all.. Also I heard the vibes becomes lesser after the first service..

Went through the thread for about a 100 pages, not able to collate info.. please share all the information about vibes in RTR..

If you like Black then go for it. And no they wont teflon coat unless you pay for it seperately. Make sure you are present while they do it.

As from rumour mill, the details about the faster bike than the current 180 is to be out by April 20th. I would say if you are not in a hurry then wait for some time. And if you are in no mood of shelling out more money then go ahead with the current model.

Well there is a wild variation in the city and highway mileage irrespective of what rpms one rides at.

                      In city riding:

Over 8k rpm all the time:28-30kmpl
                      Between 5k-7k:35-37kmpl
                      Between 4k-6k:40-41kmpl

                      On highway

Over 8k rpm all the time:35-37kmpl
                      Between 5k-7k:42-43kmpl
                      Between 4k-5k:47-50kmpl

Please dont report the 160s mileage. It could be misleading for the unawares out here!!

Very good average considering the city rides, RPM, 180CC's and 17.3PS

Are you running rich or lean?

                          + it's a carbed bike!!

Can't say whether it's running rich or lean. The bike is now hitting 125km/hr in under 500 metres and the top end surge has increased by a great margin. Heck, it now keeps R15 at bay when it comes to outright performance till 110km/hr.And still it returns pretty decent mileage. So i think the mixture is perfectly alright and i wont fiddle with it. Touchwood!!

Veedol Super Swift is working really well on the 180 but has not gelled well with the Victor. I am still not able to find the 5W40 5100t/300V out here. So i guess, i will again have to fill the Super Swift in the next oil change which is due, now.

Btw, My brother's couple of friends who have 180s in his college are facing problems with one-way clutch.Anybody experienced the same so far?

Rich it by 1/4 and see if it makes little diff in the top end surge, if not then make it to original again.

Finally i found a dealer in INDORE for 5W40 5100t/300V, will pour that in next change.

One more quest, how to correctly find the prob with one way clutch?
what are the symptoms it throws?

Arey it happened a month ago..
Now as I've learnt about the sane riding zone in the rev-range i.e 4-6k!.So figures are far from it...So far so good!

Secondly, what about the AFR guys?..I don't know whether it's running lean or rich! I mean the only way I used to measure this thing is by idle engine speed ..Is there any other way to check this???
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

I had the whole assembly changed before..the one-way clutch and some 'garari'..
The engine was switched-off in the middle of nowhere.Self-starter didn't work the kick got jammed too.Had to ferry the bike in cycle-rickshaw!..
