15/09/2012. The date I took the delivery of my pearl white Apache RTR 180 ABS. I have owned a 110cc bike (Honda CB Twister) before the beast. The most I got on the odo on my commuter in a month was about 700km. Knowing this, I knew it was gonna be a long painful wait till 1000kms on my beast. I do not know how I did it, but 16 days later, the odo showed 751.6kms. It was already time for the first service! So here is my experience after the first service:
Major issues I've had with my beast are:
1.Chain makes a loud CHAK CHAK sound.
2.There is a very irritating sound like that of a loose washer or nut from the chasis.
3.Center stand needs to be retracted manually, the spring was loose.
4.The left mirror was loose.
5.Fake neutrals.
All of the above fixed to satisfaction. Number 1 seems to persist, though. Will have to look into it.
I maintained the bike in a very clean way. Though it rained and she got dirty, I did a minimal shampoo wash n got out all the muck. The SVC people appreciated it as it reduced their work(I think it was plain flattery :P ). Oil change was done. Filter changed. All moving parts lubed. Clutch adjusted. Total bill amount including oil cost : 378 INR.
Changes noticed after service : Bike is bit more responsive to throttle. I can feel it in the very first gear. Also, before service, I was able to do 52kmph at 4k RPM. Now I'm able to do 54kmph at 4k RPM. Saree guard removed.
Overall experience : I'm very happy. But it's only service number one. Aage aage dekhna hai kya hota hai!

Shabby brother you sure? This is no N250 to have 133kmph @ 10k RPM :/ Maybe its 11k.
