What about carb diaphragm? It might be broken.

I havent checked that part. Any idea what might be the cost of replacement?
Also is there any way I can cross check if its broken before going to SVC.
Any pics of the same & where this part actually is?

Well. I'm hoping some seniors can help you there. I remember that kantu had a broken diaphragm a while back. He's on the RTR160 forum. PM him. I havent got pictures as ive never faced the problem before. Only heard. Its inside the carburetor, placed after the air filter.

        • May be this is not correct thread but this thread has most of the info about RTR 180.

Yesterday I asked 2012 RTR 180 price at Kolkata. Dual disk without ABS. It costs Rs. 86400 On Road. Is it correct price ?

guys are telling me, as I have not received the cheque of the first claim yet..they might tell me to scrap the bike for which instead i will be given a 60-70% of the ID value!!

which probably will fetch me 40,000 max.

Went to a tyre shop yesterday..He claims that the tyre profile is "gone" (he means got bent) & the tyres need to be replaced to stop the wobble..The tyres have quite a bit of treads left & might last atleast 5k km more..Should I get the tyres replaced or go for a proper inspection in a SVC & get the alloys checked as well..??
First time hearing that TYRE got bend!! Get a second opinion bro. Even in the worst of accidents, nothing happens to the tyre unless its cut etc. Hmmm

The diaphragm is inside the carb. You need to take it out and open it up. Its a delicate rubber part and easily damaged if you dont know what you are doing. And its quite costly also (for its size), guess around INR 450 about a yr back.
