Simply, u bring drive and driven shafts in phase for easy shift. in upshift, u already retard the drive shaft.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

    • guys anyone experienced any problems with the ENGINE .
Someone told me that not considering the cycle parts , the RTR engine is very reliable .
Is it really a reliable bike , I mean does it have regular problems ? .
Please share your probs with the engine , have heart on this bike from some time now . Saw a FI perform , man one hell of a monster , very responsive . How does it compare to 180 ? . Dint get test ride of FI
But FI is strangely very highly priced here . 78 k , does it cost that much , i mean heard it was 74k or something

      Thanks for your time

ok that means you dont need to blip the throttle while upshifting?
You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

        • ok,here are some pics of my RTR as promised...my cam got screwed and hence the delay.
On first impression, the bike looks gorgeous and runs smoothly but felt a little too vibey after crossing the 5k mark...No,i didnt whack my bike but just tried it once.Having been fed on a diet of honda machines to this date,I can't really complain about it...I'll be going on a short trip soon and hopefully my cam will get fixed by then.Until then here are the pics captured on my phone...
also,i still have to get the number plate done, the mud flap removed and few more knicks here and there...
It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

TVS does build strong and reliable engines. One of my friend's A150 has already crossed 50k and it's engine has never been opened, even the head hasnt been decarbonised. And still the bike manages to return over 60km/ltr when ridden sanely!!

The component quality of other parts except those related to the engine is what cripples most of the Apache but when it comes to engine,it's rock solid.

My Bike Sure Gets Overheated. But ,I have no complaints with the Engine.A Mere 3kms Run to town makes the Engine Heated up(not overheating).overheating does occurs ,especially while I traverse Ghat Roads.BTW ,Done 2820kms.2nd free service done.
Anything I need to check with?
