I mean I was waiting for someone to notice the ad, its suddenly harping on the RTR series and that means that there's more to come and may be soon!

WHEN, WHEN and some more WHEN?????

Till then we have to get ourselves satisfied with the "Series" that includes 160 and 180 only.

I guess I'll have to try that too.

I see three pieces of rubber, two on the sides and one in the centre, all of them seem to be glued to the plastics. I see two screws holding the visor and can't see where I can insert the rubber. I also have to go looking for a cycle tube!

For the visior part you have to open the whole fairing, get the tube from the local puncture repair shop.

Renny today i went to svc and show them this thing and they said that there is really some problem and they later checked . They have also filled some rubberlike stuff between the Visor and the plastic which wraps the speedo console they have also told that they have completely open the fairing tightened screws(hard to believe) but still after takin a ride the buzzing sound is there(at 6k rpm its max) from the fairing or the left handlebar.
There is just one glitch, coz of a fall left indicator once broke apart so i fixed it with feviquick. Thats the only thing i suspect for this. What say?

Hey chicane, as you have written you also had this kind of problem and you get it fixed by yourself. Any specific thing u remember which was there in ur bike coz it could be same here.

You mean at the two bolts on the side with the plastic and the black plastic visor?

It could be the indicator. Take the bike to an clear/open road and when you hear the buzz hold the left indicator lightly with your hand and see if the buzz stops/reduces.

                    • Hey there .. people .. i just happen to have one query...

What do u think of installing a K & N filter on an apache 180?
is it actually worth it ..??
would it return me the same average as before??
and does it void the warranty??

any other performance upgrades that can be used in under 3,000 that doesnt ruin the average ????

lastly i would like to compliment all you guys ..marvelous work in keeping this forum alive.. and helping each others...
                      cheers to you guys

The indicator seem to be the culprit here, may be the feviquick thing came off, check that.

Yes, plus the one which is at the bottom.

                          • I just don't understand, why this sudden K&N craze in this forum?! Across many threads it's the same question!

IMO, its certainly not worth using a K&N filter unless you know what you are doing. Even then, there is very little benefit. I would rather enjoy the stock reliability.

                            • I'll agree with Abhijeet...the most notable difference with a K&N is that sound...bhhrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... ...and i believe performance advantage, if any, wud be quite negligible! otherwise, everyone will do it!!

                              • New bike anytime soon?

Guys I am buying the Apache 180 in the coming week. I can wait a bit further if they are releasing some kind of upgrade to the 180 with the next release. I am not really bothered about 220 or 250cc right now..

                                Any news about this?
