^^Power to weight ratio, gearing and throttle response all play major role in drag timings..But there'd be a point in time where the lower cc will run out of steam which is exactly the case here,,If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

NO.Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostDent on Acceleration alongwith front sprockets will also needs tobe changed for copping up with loss at the rear.
The front sproaket need not to be changed, one can shave off tooths from the rear sproaket without changing the front.
And shaving off one tooth from the front has the same affect as shaving off two from the rear.
On 220 and RTR180 comparo, lets stop it here guys.
but i would like to add that given on the right hands the RTR180 can smoke the 220 too, on track and on 0-60 timings. The Magician"

Right Hands=Renny

No, one can fit 36 tooth rear sproaket directly too, all he'll be getting then is super top speed at the expense of the acceleration.Originally posted by abhichotu.abhi View PostAreey Renny JI! The only 110/80 17" rear tyre that you can get in India is an IRC one. One of the xbhp members posted its pic at the tyres thread. See if you can find it in your city.Originally posted by abbydance4life View PostI have heard that Apache sportier riding position can give you back pain, is it true?
As i said earlier, you will get used to it with time and after you are comfortable with it, you might find tall karizma type handlebars making you feel uncomfortable.
Yes that happened with me after i tried riding a Karizma. My shoulders were aching.
And i am thinking of replacing the stock tyres of RTR 180 with P220 front and R15's rear Tyre.
Can u suggest me a Tyre with good grip having same size as that of stock one --- 110/80 - 17 other than R15 Zapper S which is 100/80 - 17.
How much increase in speed can i expect?Originally posted by rennycornelius View PostShave of two tooths from the rear sproaket, you'll have better top speed at each gear at the cost of the acceleration, the bike will also run at lower RPM at the given speed compared to the previous sproaket.
But dont shave off more than two tooths as then it'll put dent on the acceleration. You can only ride better tomorrow if you ride safe today.

before 3 months i posted a query in "what bike section " about choosing between rtr180,zma & p220,and most of the xbhpians suggested me to go for zma,i booked a red zma 1 month before, but last week i received a call saying that i want to wait one month more,so dropped the plan and today visited bajaj showroom and tvs showroom to enquire about the p220 and A180
Apart from the performance can u suggest the maintenance of the two bikes, bcoz i cannot spent too much time with ma bikeA LOST RACE IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN A LOST LIMB

Both the bikes are VFM, But, going by a better choice it will be anytime P220 becoz of its Projectors, Mileage close to A180, vibe. free nature, oil cooler.Originally posted by vishnups17 View Postbefore 3 months i posted a query in "what bike section " about choosing between rtr180,zma & p220,and most of the xbhpians suggested me to go for zma,i booked a red zma 1 month before, but last week i received a call saying that i want to wait one month more,so dropped the plan and today visited bajaj showroom and tvs showroom to enquire about the p220 and A180

Both the bikes are totally different. Apache 180 will be best commuter tobe choosed under 200cc segment and above 200cc+ P220 rules nonetheless.

Hey Guys bought Grey Apache RTR 180 today evening.
There were two colors, white and grey, but my friends suggested that Grey looks better than white so took grey apache 180.
Thanks to all of you for your help and support.
Can you tell me at what speed should i ride my bike for 1000 kms, is it below 40 km/hr or 4k rpm.
And i want to change my stock Tyre as soon as possible, i knw about R15 read and p220 front, are there any better option other than these two? When approaching a corner, stay on the gas until you see Jesus. Then brake HARD.
