My bike has completed 750 kms, will it be ok if i occasionally rip my bike take the speed upto 80 kms/hr !!

Went for drive today morning at 2, ripped my bike upto 117 km/hr, don' know what impact will it have on bikes engine !! hope its not bad to rip occasionally till it completes 1000 kms

But vibrations are too much, my friend sitting behind me was not able to put his feet on rear pegs and even i noticed bike vibrated more than expected and it didn't felt good.

At least you don't expect any goodies from them.You have taken enough 'free' items from them under warranty.

Stock tyres are ok on tarmac road but not good on wet road, they tend to loose grip on wet surface.

You can change your stock tyres to

Rear :100/80 - 17 Zapper S (Yamaha R15)
Front: 90/90 - 17 Zapper FS(Pulsar 220)

You can also go for Zapper Q on rear.

You wont get Zapper Q in 110/80 17". I dont know if the new Unicorn rear tyre is called Zapper Q. But the tread pattern doesnt suggest so.

Well for 180, the best bet would be the 110-spec Zapper launched with the CB Dazzler.It would take a while before it comes out in the open market.Other than that there is an option of 110-spec IRC.Can't recall the exact model number.Do not over-size the tyre specs as it will hamper overall performance

Next time be cautious while riding during rains. Some tips from my side:
-On wet roads, always expect the unexpected.Even the oil-spills would get disguised with the rain water and create havoc if you are not alert while riding.
-While taking a turn and during exit do not give abrupt acceleration as the tyre side walls in contact would not give you enough grip and the rear would slip out , as a result.And this applies to 180 more because of the presence of greater amount of low-end torque.
-Under hard/panic braking try to bring your weights to the front keeping all weights on the handle bar and brake accordingly depending on conditions.Do not ever put dab on the rear brakes abruptly.Proper modulation is required on both brakes

...But still there will always be difference under emergency/panic braking conditions. So try to follow the basics as much as possible.It might come in handy anytime.

The One Way Clutch!!!

Took my bike to the svc yesterday... to replace the one way clutch.. According to the mechanic, RTR 180's one way clutch has an inherent design failure which makes it go kaput in some time..( Which I guess means that all RTR 180 clutches will have to be replaced, at some point, sooner than normal!)
But, the new batch of 180s comin out have a new clutch design alongwith a DCI or DCU or something, which lasts good... Now, is this fact true?? Anyone else heard about this?
BTW, my clutch will be replaced by the new clutch, free of cost...
