Hey bro.....i hv been usin tht shell fs since my 3rd service. Hs been workin great till now. Got the gears smooth, less engine heating evn if u rip it like hell(especially it helped in reducin the tappet noise to some extent).... 2.5 ltrs , The last bar in fuel indicator will start blinking when it reaches 2.5, and the low fuel indicator lights up when less than 1 or 1.5ltr not sure.Originally posted by Kirankj1724 View Postguys sorry for dis silly question but wat s de reserve capacity of A180?

i live in nagpur. and i also used shell vsx 10w40 SS but didnt like it much though. shell is good but i noticed tht the gear shifts are not as smooth as motul, they are little stiff.and veedol super swift is said to be great with bike recommended with 20w40 oil grade. i want to try motul 300v FS but didnt have enough money to buy itOriginally posted by ssugadhanam View PostHey bro.....i hv been usin tht shell fs since my 3rd service. i think there is a coating because i dont feel the skulls in my hand. and i think i can go to top speeds with this helmet. i have to remove the upper fender and i am ready to go. as i am always commuting in the city i dont need to remove it. and by the way there is this glass for the eyes given in it. so it helps in keeping the air enough out of my eyes. and i can buy and install a regular shield too on it.Originally posted by nisnth View PostNice... but u really cant reach top speeds with that helmet, can you? ). Btw, I had Vega earlier. The problem with it was the graphics didn't have a protective coating over it and gets easily scratched. How about yours? Does it have a protective coating over the graphics or can you feel those skulls with your hand

hey friends,Would it have any significant change in top end,if I put 15 teeth front sprocket,and the same 46 teeth rear??

I nvr used the SS bro... i use Fully Synthetic only. I have not understood the difference between Shell mineral and Shell Semi Synth (SS)....both seem same to me.
Shell FS hs been gud for my menace till now.... Gears hv got smooth..and especially tht tappet noise prob....only thing is tht the oil takes a bit of time to settle in and make the gear shifts smooth.

Hyderabad guys dont buy apache 180 from the sneha tvs showroom malakpet
My friend is planning to buy a180 in the end of this month so we went to SNEHA TVS SHOWROOM in malakpet HYDERABAD to test drive the bike and to enquire the details about the bike. The showroom guy [name kasi] is a totally waste fellow he dont know any thing about the bike he claiming the topseed of a180 is 160km
and speaking all the BULL SHIT so finally we asked for a test drive then the showroom guy took a brand new sparkling yellow apache180 and he is raised the bike like mad dog & went for a short drive he was fully ripping the bike and driving very rashly
.Later my friend test drived the bike and we asked the showroom guy that is it the TD bike???? he replied that it was the booked bike some 1 week back

& he also told that we dont have separate test drive bike for a180 & we simply give the booked vehicle with the @#$%%%% smiling face

Motoman break-in is all about loading the piston rings - hard acceleration and deceleration - but its not as crude as twisting the throttle and slamming down the gears - it should be smooth, yet HARD...
I changed the oil and filter today - at around 75kms after installing new cylinder kit.
And guess what - the stupid TVS oil - it was just like water - so less viscous I was like WTF! And the drain quantity was more than 1L. Anyway, now I've poured Motul 3000, mineral oil. Will be changing it at another 1k.
About feeling any difference - no. Its all about engine health right?
AFAIK it wont have any difference in the ride feeling, but the engine should have a better life....
Everyone is telling me I'm making a big mistake; but I'm taking the risk.
Guys i got my bike back in healthy condition by hard way.
As lijok did, i had to shoot a mail the higher official to get things moving. And the things happened so swiftly that in two days I am back on saddle with most of the things fixed.
As in lijok case the cylinder kit and crankshaft both got damaged but in my case it was only Cylinder it. I was present in the SVC for the first part of work that is opening the damaged cylinder but was not able for later part of fixation of new kit.
And in my case piston rings were culprit.
I did saw the signs of same when i got the bike's pollution checked and the CO level was somewhere around 2.5 from earlier .9 but thought will get her checked in the next service and before that all this happened.
My ignorance cost me 12 days of wait to ride her back.
The service engineer was present most of the time while the mech was working on bike.
Had a word regarding any upcoming TVS biggies but he simply refused that there are any in the pipeline at least for this year
but he did say abt the ABS version of 180 and it gonna cost somewhere around 8k more but it wont be a direct fit to existing 180's
, told there are some minor chassis changes like mountings and all. 
I am not gonna easy runnin her for 1k kms, instead did hard running for some 30 kms
by motoman runnin way, lets see how it comes up.
Guys if the SVC guys are pissing you all off, shoot a direct mail to all the TVS biggies and you will be surprised by the instant response of TVS officials.
