I guess the extra washers are used to compensate the gap created between the swingarm because of the rear disc on other side!

        +1 That's it

        • Guy's, does the SVC stock the 'TVS Racing' sticker? Some dude stole one of them from my bike, neatly without even leaving a mark. The sticker might be of some demand eh,?

Thanks for your wishes and prayers, they did pay a lot.I was in despair after running to officials daily.Thought will leave it all on to my luck and won't make any efforts now.And voila! My luck. Today afternoon got a call from NR cell and they informed me that the bike is waiting at railway station.Literally, ran there in no time and got my bike back.

Everything was well in order except for the visor, left front indicator and the clutch lever.I am just flabbergasted to see this. There were truckloads of load on it when I last saw her.Wonder how it managed to come out unscratched?

While coming back thought it would be a good idea to replace all the damaged parts today itself. It was just 760 bucks(which is very less compared to what I expected) and done in half an hour or so.After all this headache and everything, took the lonnnnnnnnnnng route home!
Feels good to see that you got your bike back after all those hassle.

            Happy Riding!!

              Thanks brother

Seems you follow the thread regularly but contributing less these days! What's the matter?

Anyhow, the alloy paint is peeling off slowly everyday and I don't like the look of it..Thinking to go for the golden color scheme like you did..Expenses please?

Apart from this, the speedo refuses to show anything above 120kph! Bike feels very sluggish after 105kph and the rear wobbles at these speeds because of something I can't figure out.

My guess,so far, is that the bike is running lean and the clutch is gone too (odo nearing 20k now). The chain makes weird noises after everytime it rains.Wash the sprocket with a clean dry cloth and it goes away.

PS: There's a serious drop in overall performance, can't even keep up with a 25k kilometers old Karizma..
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Anyway thanks bro. I hope it will be within 700 INR. Some crap guys pretty heavily scratched those split grails when I parked outside my home for one night. Anyway I need to change it as I feel so bad looking at those scratches. Hopefully there will be stock also.

                    • Change of Bore and Piston in 6K Kms

                      Hi Guys,

Left my ABS for service last week-end. The mechanic pointed me that the oil is way too low and told to keep a check on it often.
So after one week and 500 kms of oil change (Shell AX7 semi-synthetic), checked oil level and found it to be like close to minimum. So took it back to service centre and asked about it.
They told to leave for one day and when I checked the next day. They said that the bore and piston is gone. My ABS has only done 6000 Kms in the odo.
They said it is possible for bore and piston to wear out at any km range, cant predict it.
So guys please throw some light on why it could have happen? I couldnt get any further info from SVC people.

How far will the change affect my new bike??
Has anyone faced such issue on a new bike(3 months/6400 kms)??

Currently they are waiting for spares and they have returned the bike saying it could be driven normally until they get the spares.

PS: They didnt mention anything about the cost, they said as if it will be replaced within warranty.

Should I check on something before doing it? I am lil worried since I didnt expect to even touch my new bikes engine in such short time.

I am always around but have become less frequent and dont post much as i am too busy these days with work.

The paint job costed 600 bucks.

Bore & piston wearing out in 6K kms ?
its a serious matter.Company have to do it under warranty. Screw the dealer for giving you a faulty bike, sit on the neck of the SVC people, then shoot a mail to TVS. You need to do it the hard way,to get things done.

And are you getting white/black smoke from exhaust?

They usually quote the approximate price of the SVC and spares but this time they said they will replace it all and didnt mention about any price.

I am getting black smoke from exhaust.

Does anyone have any contact number of TVS company people in south (preferably Chennai) who will take care of this stuffs??

I am really pissed off to know that they are gonna open up the engine to change the spares. I wanted to keep it as stock as possible and I am not inclined towards any replacement bike also, i love my bike so badly as everyone else so no speak of replacement..
